I have dealt with a moving company before and the overall costs was WAY overpriced, which was why I was skeptical about moving again. However, I was moving to a bigger apartment and after a whole year of buying new things and clothes, it was impossible to be all moved out in such short time.
I had to travel for work so the move had to be done ASAP. I was referred by a friend of mine and she said that this company was good and affordable. First impression was Great! They answered the phone and gave me an estimate that was within range of my budget. When the movers arrived, they asked me what rooms needed to be cleared out first and were very organized throughout the move. FCL (Full Container Load) shipping was the best option as far as getting a good deal so we went for that. We didn't mind our stuff in a shared container at all as long as nothing turned up missing or damaged. And nothing did. Communication with management was good which kept us feeling positive about working with them. Lots of patience was exercised because it takes weeks but that was all voiced to us before the transaction so no negative surprises came into play, all positive.

Much more manageable with their help

My International took a stressful complicated move and turned it into something much more manageable for us. We relocated back to Tel Aviv Israel to be closer to family after our daughter was born. The team walked us through the custom process which we hadn't dealt with for many years and a lot new rules had been put in place since then.

We couldn't have done it without them. They never pushed us to use their service or lied to us about any pricing. Very relaxed upfront honest business. Feel very good about the money spent with them.
Every box arrived undamaged and some of our artwork was custom crated to ensure it would remain in great shape for the whole trip. It all turned just how we had hoped.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE...

I have yet to book 495 Movers, but I will tell you their first impression was amazing. My first encounter with them was back in June. We were planning to move in August but our date got pushed to September. The whole way threw they’ve checked in often and when I told them I was shopping around for quotes they offered me pointers on how not to be ripped off.

They were patient, prompt and made it clear they wanted our business. If I can’t use them this time, I will be sure to refer others and use them in the future.

From start to finish my experience with them was absolutely top-notch.

Other movers want to nickel and dime you for boxes, tape and packing material, not these guys!

Other movers will say they will be there at a certain time only to have you waiting around, not these guys! They were prompt and even got to our house earlier than expected the morning of the move.

Other movers will seem to be intentionally lagging during your move in order to charge a higher rate for more time spent, not these guys! They worked FAST, to the point where I couldn’t even fathom how they were getting my stuff down five flights of stairs so quickly (this was an intense move with limited items able to fit in my ancient elevator).

Aside from the open communication during the lead-up to the move they were prompt, professional and completed my local move right on the initial estimate. As far as I'm concerned the free packing materials and great rates are a bonus! I will definitely be using them again in the future.

My husband and I have used 495 Movers 2 other times and have just signed up for our third move with them. They have exceptional customer service, are very reassuring, and prompt. They work so hard and do a great job! Our last move brought us to a community with no elevator. I was concerned that this would slow them down since they had to go up a flight of steps. It didn't slow them down at all! They are truly professionals! I highly recommend 495 Movers!

My mom lives in MD and she used 495 Movers two days ago when she moved her office to a bigger place. The movers was professional and the manager was so kind. I moved an expansive stuff and they did very good and clean job. We will use you guys again for sure! very recommended!

We've now used 495 Movers for 3 different moves over the years and their service has always been exceptional. Their teams are very quick to get everything packed and unpacked, there's never any wasted time. I've never had an item damaged, and they don't try to continually push any upgraded insurance. There are also never any unexpected fees, they spell it out early exactly how much you'll have to pay for what and they stick with it. Highly recommend!

We didn't use 495 Movers , but we liked them. This was one of two movers we got estimates from in July 2017 for a small move from DC metro area to Chicago. My sister and I were favorably impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of the estimator. The price was in good range. Eventually, we chose a larger company, mostly because we assumed the other had greater experience with, and more frequent, long distance moves. But it was hard to decide.

495 Movers are the best movers in the area! They helped me move last week from Fairfax to Reston and the service was outstanding! The team was courteous, helpful, and speedy - I would definitely recommend them to anyone moving around the DMV.

I've moved a zillion times within DC, but this was by far the best experience. 495 was recommended by a friend for my long distance move. Contact from the beginning was great. They were clear, communicative, and answered all of my questions. They also worked with me on the timing of my move to accommodate my needs.

The actual guys who moved me were beyond efficient and thorough. Everything was wrapped properly, documented, and carefully handled. New place is a 3rd floor walk up and the delivery still was super fast. They even tightened up the bolts on my wobbly dining room chairs!
