I used 495 Movers for my move to NYC and I’ve never been more impressed with a moving company. From the start, we had excellent communication with staff and management. They were available to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns with full transparency and care. The crew that packed my apartment was so kind and took such excellent care with all of my belongings. I couldn’t believe how quickly and efficiently the job was done. Delivery was also a breeze and I’m so grateful for how easy they made this transition. I’ll continue to recommend 495 Movers to anyone in the DMV area for local or long distance moves.

I was doing a long distance move. The movers were fast, efficient and worked hard to ensure that all of my items were well secured in the truck. The same was true for the delivery. They’re even made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it placed in the home before they left. I would absolutely recommend 495 Movers for your next move.

Everything from getting a free quote with Talya, to confirming all of the steps for my move with Autumn, to picking up boxes and packing supplies with Isaac, to moving with Omar and Milton - everything was smooth and efficient and all staff were kind, great communicators, and helped ensure I had the most pleasant experience. 459 Movers has the best pricing in the area for local moving and storage (and I had quoted three other places and their pricing didn't come close to 495's). Everything was amazing, there were no hidden fees or surprises the day of my move and I felt taken care of, along with all my belongings, every step of the way. Next time I need moving, I'm calling them directly! 100% recommend!!!

Excellent! Movers were courteous, quick, and careful with our things. They finished a whole hour early, which was reflected in our price. I've used 495 movers several times over the years, most recently to move my a friend who had some stuff at my house. They always show up on time, well prepared and ready to work. Their estimates are on point and all inclusive. Their team isn't fazed by anything, including having to take a couch out an upstairs window. I can't recommend them highly enough!

495 Movers did a great job with our move. They called each day en route, arrived on time (or early) and worked very hard all day. Everything was delivered in good condition to our new house and all the furniture was placed right where we asked. I would definitely recommend them for anyone in the DC metro area.

Let me tell you I was a difficult customer. I called on a day they were closed and requested for my move time to be moved to the only time that worked between my work schedule and the apartments move time availability. Then I have a number of incredibly delicate antiques that my movers M- (sorry I could not read your signature) and Xavier packaged creatively and well so they all arrived safely to my new home. I want to also praise how conscious of my time these two were. They always focused on what I would have a harder time with because I was there all-day packing and unpacking with them. One more thing that just helped so much was when I moved into my new apartment, they helped me lay out my furniture in the new space in the best way possible. I even got a compliment from the apartment building management about how well planned out all the space was. I am so grateful for every step...

I hired 495 Movers for a recent move and they did a great job. Milton, Edwin and Jose protected all of the furniture and boxes, and moved it down three flights of stairs to the truck without damage. They were nice, hard working, and careful. Everything was delivered efficiently and placed correctly. They provided a good moving experience.

My move with 495 Movers exceeded my expectations. I had rented a shipping container, and when it showed up, I thought there would be no way that Milton and his crew (Milton #2 and Edwin) would be able to fit all of my belongings into the container. Lo and behold, Milton worked miracles, and he jostled and cajoled everything into place without an inch to spare. He saved me over $1600 because I didn’t have to reserve another container—I was so grateful! I truly appreciate the excellent service and professionalism. l highly recommend 495 Movers. They showed up on time, the staff members checked the status of the move on moving day, and they completed the job within time and budget. I was nervous, as we had a bad experience with a previous mover, but I was pleased with them. They were professional, reasonable, and there were no hidden costs. I paid the same price as my estimate--no extra fees for packing supplies, etc. I would use their services again.

495 movers was a very good company in helping me with my move just a couple weeks ago. They were diligent in how they packed everything! Probably taking better care of my stuff than I would- i mean things like wrapping up my wicker chair in blankets, tape and plastic as if it were made of glass! They were careful and organized. I would absolutely recommend them. The one thing I would make sure people know is that in spite of how carefully they wrap, they will unpack cabinets and drawers. I was unaware of this until they did. Perhaps different companies do different things, but I don't remember this from past moves. My TV cabinet was one thing, but unpacking my night table was another. I drew the line at them unpacking my dresser. Other than that, i would use them again.

495 was extremely responsive to my needs, offered an in person estimate, and walked me through the whole process.
The packers were polite and asked questions when needed.
When my delivery arrived it went into storage, and the delivery persons were extremely polite and helpful. They packed the storage unit as I asked and let me grab some things I needed while they were unloading.
All the time the main office was in contact with me and answered all questions.
I highly recommend for any move big or small.

Great experience using 495 Movers! They provided a free in-person estimate to ensure I had the most accurate quote. The staff I all spoke to over the phone were very helpful, taking time to answer my questions as this was my first major move doing alone. The day-of the move I had three 495 Movers crew show up and they were in & out in under 2 hours - so quick! All my things were delivered same say to my new place in New York without any damaged items. It was definitely on the pricier side of movers but they were able to price match a competitor offering similar level service -- and they provided ALL moving supplies (boxes, tape, wrapping materials) included in their standard price so it was SO much easier to not have to worry about over/under ordering supplies. Would recommend.
