George is terrific. He put a new metal roof on our very large barn and repaired existing issues carefully. George is the owner of the business and very responsive. We just had our roof replaced by GKontos. The first thing that we liked was that Greg, the salesperson and estimator, told us that our roof really didn't need replacing yet, which we knew. However, we were concerned about some shingle movement, which he gave some possible reasons for and my husband checked. We ultimately decided to replace the roof now before any problems arose, but there was no pressure from Greg. We called several other local companies to get bids. Two did not return calls and one did not show up when we said we were getting several bids. We had our roof replaced about 10-12 years ago. I called back that company to evaluate a leak, determined to be from the skylights. They said it would take two days to replace 3 skylights, would take weeks to months to get the skylights. Had my suspicions, seemed overpriced, figured I would get another estimate. Most skylights are from Velux so I checked for local installers, read reviews, decided to call G. Kontos. Extent of damage was as reported. That's where the similarity ended. Price, for the same stuff, was about $2000 less than the first estimate. This has never been the deciding factor for me. They were much more professional from the start. Shorter turn around time to get the skylights (from the same manufacturer). The work was fantastic. Showed up at 8:30am and were done with all three skylights (2 in back, 1 in front on a roof with a steep pitch), cleaned up...

GKontos came highly recommended, and they didn't disappoint. They were attentive in giving me an estimate, took care of all of the permits quickly, and did the job in a day.

I had a leaking flat roof caused by bad flashing and a whole mess of other shoddy workmanship by whoever did my original roof. The repairs that GKontos did involved replacing the flat roof, and tearing up a portion of my pitched shingle roof to join the two properly. They matched my existing roof shingles perfectly in terms of color and did an outstanding job reshingling and fixing some other flashing problems around my chimneys. The new flat roof looks infinitely better than the last one.

I would use GKontos again 100% for another roof repair, and recommend them in a heartbeat.

GKontos were real pros from start to finish. We are fussy about the details related to our historic home, and from the first meeting to discuss a full reroofing + additional skylights to the last email from the extremely pleasant office staff, we found everything done professionally, done well, and done on time. Their pricing was fair, but the real value was in the job they did and the way they interacted with us. I wish all contractors had the professional ethic and level of courtesy that this company does. Five stars for sure!

They could have just let it go and no one would have been the wiser. Maybe not the cheapest but your home isn’t the place to skimp on cost. Would recommend to everyone.

My gutter guys noticed a small crack in my rubber roof and recommended GKontos. I was afraid we couldn't get it attended to as winter had already set in. But GKontos came in two days, fixed that crack and a few other small ones they noticed. They were polite, professional, knowledgable and quick. I will use them again as soon as my roof needs replaced.

Our repair needs were very minimal, they were up front about cost of repair and said that other companies would likely be cheaper for the repair. They were very communicative throughout the process, and the install team worked a few long hard days to get things done right. We had one small hiccup during the project and I was satisfied when our main contact reached out to understand what happened and definitely made things right. Would definitely recommend anyone work with them.

We agreed to 5400 to install a new shingle roof on the side of our mud room. The guys came. Did the job. Everything went well. We tipped them. One week later during rain we saw water on our windows. When we went outside we saw the roof wasn’t taking the water to the gutters but allowing the water to go between the wood and the gutter. I emailed them and am waiting for someone to come to look at the situation. I’m a bit frustrated to say the least. Let’s see how the situation is handled. I’ll keep you apprised.

They had to fix the job 2 times but they did get it done. I’ve upgraded from 1 star to 4 for coming back and getting it right.

Sales rep. took time to evaluate the project through on roof inspection, very pleased w/ his explanation of the work required. Installation team showed up on time (crew of 10+ for 2 day project), very professional in their work and care shown for the job and my property. Had 2 other estimates done which did not give me confidence in other companies' proposals and were more expensive. There was an unexpected problem with a roof drain which the team took upon themselves to resolve at no additional expense to me. Very pleased with the experience and results from GKontos.

Gkontos was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. I had several quotes from different companies. Some that were better priced, but I chose Gkontos due to their Rep Greg who came to my house and was a very honest and straight forward person. I had a good feeling from him and so did my wife. We decided that this was the company for us.

We should have gone with these guys in the first place! My fiance and I had a new roof put on our home in November 2021 with a different company. We had the original roofer come back to "fix" issues with the new roof several times. The original roofer made a bad choice about ventilation in the attic space which led to a severe mold issue and costed us thousands to have remediated. That's when we called GKontos to help.

Working with George was great - they write out the work needed and go over every step of the process with you. They were able to fix my chimney, replace half the roof due to water damage over the years and change out some gutters and soffits that were in bad shape. During the pandemic it's been a challenge at times (materials, timing, etc) but overall very great service.
