Had 3+ other companies look at our broken AC & independently came back to us that it was a faulty valve. It was going to be $3k+ to fix and that we might as well get a new AC. Brandon from Arctic Air came out and knew that the issue I was told was the problem wasn't common in my type of unit. I was a loyal customer of one of the "BIG" HVAC companies here in KC for the past 12 years. However, when any equipment is just 10 years old, they begin their sales pressure & scare tactics trying to convince you that you need a brand new A/C & Furnace immediately, even though it is working just fine. I called Arctic Air when my furnace stopped working. Within 45 minutes, a tech arrived and accessed my situation. He explained my options and I decided to replace my old unit and scheduled the replacement for the next morning. The installer arrived on-time and the job was completed without any problems - done right the first time! The unit is quiet and the efficiency is such that I am able to comfortably lower my thermostat by 3 degrees. The 2 service techs that I dealt with were polite, very professional, knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and explain the features of my new furnace. Last week I had a water problem with my inside water meter. When KCWater came out, the meter malfunctioned and sprayed water everywhere - all over my furnace. It was dripping.
This panicked me since we have been having such cold temps; so, I called Arctic Air and told them what happened and she immediately gave my name to a tech, who was close to my neighborhood. He came over and calmly helped me get past my worrying with his explanations and knowledge. He went right to work, not 30 minutes after the water co left. He dried it out; and told me early on, it looked like everything was okay! He cleaned it all up and then smiled.
I needed immediate help; he gave me that and also peace.
I didn't worry. I felt I could trust his knowledge and explanations.

I highly recommend Arctic Air Heating & Cooling. Both times we have called them we have had a new air-conditioner (2017) and new furnace (2024) installed within 24 hours.
