I hired Thomas Engineering Consultants (TEC) while in my option period for a 1960s home, and the experience was outstanding. Because I was on a tight deadline, I really appreciated that they got the full, multi-page report back to me the very same evening.

Their evaluation was technical and data-driven. They conducted a Relative Floor Elevation Survey and explained how the local clay soils were affecting the foundation. They provided a clear Remedial Repair Plan and a Preventative Maintenance Plan (including specific drainage and watering advice) to stabilize the home.

I felt confident to make an informed decision about buying the house because of the level of detail. You definitely get what you pay for, which should end up costing you less in the long-term.
