Our contractor, Brett Hoffman, had recommended Thomas Engineering as a highly skilled and straight-talking independent firm. We now see why. Chris was punctual, friendly and conducted his analysis with great professionalism and attention to detail. He welcomed my questions and took time to share invaluable insights into what he was doing and why. I learned much about our house. Our little dog, Finnegan, who reads people well, loved Chris. We look forward to TEC's report and feel we will be able to move forward with our remodeling project with confidence in guidance from TEC's findings.

Thomas Engineering Consultants are professional and explained all of the steps they were taking in my evaluation of my home. They asked for any information I may have had regarding previous repairs to my home ahead of time so they were prepared when they arrived. The report was prompt and easy to read and Mr LaLonde was available for any additional questions I had. I feel this gives me a good report on my home going forward to correct the issues on my home. Definitely would recommend TEC.

Stephanie at Thomas engineering was excellent at explaining the value of getting an engineering opinion for a 95 year-old pier & beam structure. She was able to coordinate and schedule a same day service call with Jared. Tommy also arrived to evaluate the structure and was generous in providing professional opinion and insight. As a realtor and residential property investor I recommend investing in the facts of your home with an engineering report before being “sold” on unknowns from a foundation repair business.

Everything was done as promised. They squeezed us in to get the foundation evaluated on a house we were hoping to buy that very night that we called them. Everyone from Stephanie answering the phone and coordinating to the person doing the evaluation were incredibly kind and helpful. We are definable keeping their number to refer others and use them on the next house we hope to buy.

Awesome experience. We were concerned about our foundation on our house that had previous structure issues and wanted a second opinion. We were also concerned about drainage issues. Got an appointment in less than a week and Thomas called me on a Sunday of a holiday weekend to answer our questions. So thankful to have a professional not associated with a foundation repair company to tell us everything is ok! Worth every penny for that peace of mind on a big investment such as our home. We got great advice for how to keep our foundation in good shape going forward and where to fix drainage problems. Thank you for everything!

Thomas really outdid himself. Not only did he save me thousands of dollars, but he also saved my life. Long story short, the seller of the house I was going to buy hired their own structural engineer that stated in a simple 3 page report that the house met the city of Dallas guidelines and drew the house plan with squiggly lines. Of course I did not trust the seller provided foundation inspection, so I hired Thomas and guess what he found? $8,000 plus dollars of major foundation damage! The foundation damage that Thomas found does not meet the Association of Civil Engineer guidelines which overrides the city guidelines.

Thomas provided me and my realtor a highly detailed 30 page plus report with the calculations ,problems, and recommendations clearly laid out. Thomas also gave me some preventative measures to help reduce the chances of the foundation being damaged again...
