Askew’s Landing RV Campground

What a beautiful place! We will return if we are ever this way again.

We enjoyed our stay at Askew’s Landing. The folks in the office were very helpful and friendly. Easy in and out access, even with our 36’ horse trailer.

Askew's is the best place to get away without having to go too far. Everyone is very nice and helpful- they made our first camper trip perfect.

We are always interested in finding unique RV parks and this one did not disappoint! We were only passing through but our kids begged us to return sometime when we can fully enjoy all the amenities! Lots is space and wonderful setting! The staff is extremely kind and helpful as well! We arrived after 9pm and they were available to help us find our sight. We will certainly be returning!

We had our first stay here since the new ownership. I must say they have really made some positive changes. We will definitely be back and looking forward to more activities being added.

What a great campground! We stayed overnight and really enjoyed our stay. We had a long conversation with the new owners’ parents (the owners were out of town). They’re doing a lot of work to make it a really nice place to be. If we’re ever nearby, we will definitely stay again.
There were some overhanging trees on the road to the park, so just be aware and drive carefully.

We really like this RV park. Plenty of room to park. We will be returning and would recommend to others.

So this was our first time here. We camped during the Halloween weekend for the events planned. Fri-Mon Oct 27- 30. We booked over a month in advance.

Here are the pros:
Quiet. I mean VERY quiet. We got some of our best sleep here!
Clean site, and I mean very clean!
Clean bathhouse! We were shocked, but they were great and well stocked.
Staff is very friendly, they even came to make sure we got settled in ok!
Good water pressure!
Power was up to par!
Events were very fun! Loved the trick or treaters!
The general store was amazing!
Laundry house was a nice touch!
The pavilion was very nice! I loved that most I think!
The scenery in this park is rustic and beautiful!
The ducks and geese were friendly and visited us twice a day for a snack!
The BBQ. LOL

The cons:
There are none....

My family enjoyed the Halloween party at the park this weekend. We are looking forward to the next event.

Beautiful place after traveling 3 days straight staying at rv sites next to highways. Very quiet with GREAT showers!!!

Great stay drought really has taken a toll on lakes, could use some leveling next to the patio,s coach leaned, was advised a 50 year photo history of myself family and kids had been removed from the wall of the camp store that I believe any visitors would have enjoyed all the photos of past campers the history and fish all the children had caught.

Had a great time celebrating Halloween with Askew’s. Great grands had a blast!

What a beautiful camp ground. Wish we were not just passing thru. Dog park was an unexpected surprise. Highly recommend

We went for an overnight tent camping trip. We had a blast even though there was a burn ban in place we made the best of it and still had some great hot dogs and s’mores with the kids.

Quiet, beautiful and lovely place!

Had a great two night stay. Intended on just an overnighter as we are heading home to Oregon, but the couple running the place were so hospitable, and it was actually like camping, not a cement RV park where you never see a soul! Kids were out playing. There's a pond with ducks and geese. Also very pet friendly! Vicksburg is 15-20 min away with a lot of history.

Very nice campground! Shady, level, and friendly. We stayed for the night and needed a pull through that was level since our jacks decided to go on vacation and not work. They accommodated us with the perfect spot. We would stay again.

Well, as much as I would hate to share this amazing location, because I would LOVE to have this place all to myself.... But there is room for all travelers. If you stay here, it is an absolute amazing, beautiful, peaceful, friendly camp site. Just remember... It's a secret 😉. ❤️❤️❤️ I will for sure return and stay longer in the future.

Overall, we really enjoyed the campground and the location is great. Beautiful grounds as well. The field site we had was a bit unlevel and we personally would prefer if these were gravel sites rather than grass (clippings tracked all in the camper). The bathhouse is nice, but a long walk from the field sites. There are a lot of permanent campers interspersed with the nightly sites. The dog park is a plus.

Clean and quiet but some of the sites need attention such as leveling and a better transition to the road. Short trip into Vicksburg and attractions.

Very nice campground surrounded by large ponds for fishing.

It is a peaceful camp ground and the spaces are not on top of each other like some other places and spacious enough that I had no problem parking my 40’ class a motor home

So glad we found this place in our travels. We liked it so much, we made sure we stopped again on our way home.

We had my child’s. Birthday party here Labor Day weekend. We had THE BEST experience. They had activities planned since it was a holiday weekend but were more than accommodating for our party. Facilities were perfect to sit around and hang out or use the pool. Plenty of yard games for the teenagers to participate in as well. I could see any outdoor event being hosted here and done beautifully. Thank you for the awesome experience!

I just couldn't give this 5 stars because its access is a dirt road. It is a well kept campground but not RV friendly. A heavy coat of dust all over our RV left me wanting. A great place for good 'old fashion' camping. A walk back from the showers required feet being rewashed before socks could be put on. A fantastic place for others, just not my cup of tea. I left West Texas to get out of the dirt.

Lovely family-oriented campground, but for us no internet at all was a major downer!
