Askew’s Landing RV Campground

Ever heard of Edwards, MS? Well, unless you had a reason to go there- you probably just passed thru without notice. It’s one of those “if you blink, you may miss it” kind of towns. However, the town is far from ‘missed’ in terms of its history. Sitting in close proximity to Vicksburg, Edwards may not have the ‘well known’ factor today, but back in the mid 1800’s this little town played a big part in not only Mississippi’s history, but the history of the US as well.

Around 1859, a man named Duklet Askew and his brother stumbled across this beautiful land while searching for a place to build a plantation. The area, which is located close to the Big Black River was perfect and he began work. Shortly after beginning life on the plantation, Askew’s had cleared around 500 acres for cotton growing, built a cotton gin, a general store, and even built and operated a ferry to...

Great place to stay in was here 6 months while working on a project. Very friendly staff and very family oriented campground. Would recommend staying here

We stayed this past weekend. It was a great little weekend getaway. We explored the nearby Natchez Trace. It was quiet, the pool was nice, and the grounds were spotless! Everyone was super helpful and kind. They even offered to show us to our spot! I highly recommend this campground! We will for sure be back!

Excellent country atmosphere. Folks managing RV park very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers very clean.

We only pulled in for one night on our way to Georgia, however this campground is magical. We will be back again and stay longer. The folks that run the campground are so very friendly and extremely helpful.

We arrived late after the office was closed. It was raining and we we not familiar with the park. The park hosts saw us arrive and came over and opened the office. Guided us over in their golf cart and offered to help us set up. Extremely nice. Only stayed one night but it’s a very pretty campground.

Spent the evening there on the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend. The owners are very hospitable and have done a fabulous job of maintaining the grounds. The place is only five or so miles from local convenience stores if you need anything. It really is a great place to bring your family. I wish I had taken a few pics, but we were to busy enjoy some karaoke. I do believe we’ll be back.

Wonderful place to camp! Just overnight while traveling or for a destination. Staff are very friendly and accommodating!

They helped us get setup in the rain and then helped us even more the next day with a major job. We’ll be back😀

Love, Love this campsite I’m so amaze to this campground! If you have plans just to get out in your town I definitely recommend this place the staff are very friendly and helpful shout out to Michelle and Ken this couple are so great very helpful and honest. Talking about honesty Michelle sent her husband to bring back our change that she over charge us😉❤️ even they give us Military Discount already😉 keep up the amazing job.👏
We feel so welcomed and Compfortable we suppose to stay only for 1 night to get some rest we travel from California heading to Georgia but we end it up extending another night just to enjoy and explore the campsite and of course we did! Especially Karaoke Night! There’s a lot of stuff to do in this campsite fishing, swimming, horseshoe, cornhole, etc. pet friendly too. Bathhouse and bathroom are very clean and well maintained. This place is so much better under the new ownership. Will be nice to see it get even better with time. Be back soon.

Jennifer met us when we checked in for the night. I was surprised at how nice the cabin was. She has a wonderfully decorated home for guests. We loved the house and attached doggie safe fence. It made traveling with my little companion, Rocky, so easy. Everything we wanted was in the cabin. She asked us to please let her know if we needed anything! I will definitely be staying here again when my travels take me this direction.

Great place

My family stayed here for one night on our way from Florida to Colorado. This was a beautiful, spacious and quiet campground! We look forward to staying again the next time we’re passing by! We didn’t get to use the pool or fish in the pond but will hopefully enjoy those next time!

Hands down the best place to stop for the night when you're on a road trip through Mississippi. All the accommodations are perfect for a free spirited traveller who just needs a place to put his head up for a night. I always stop here when passing through. The staff are always helpful and communicative.

Great place to relax and just chill! The salt water pool is awesome. My only complaint is sites are rather close unless you are with a group..we plan to visit again.

I have known Craig for some time now, he has done great work in ministry. This RV Park is another way for him to show his love for people. He has always done an awesome job with anything he does!
