Askew’s Landing RV Campground

Very nice campground and super friendly people running it. Wish we could have spent more time but only stayed the night while passing through. Would definitely stay there again!

The area was nice, the people were nice. The things I didn't like were that the site's were unlevel. There was supposed to be a bathhouse on the north end by site 35, and there wasn't. That's the whole reason I picked the site. I didn't much care for the $10 fee to guarantee I could stay by my family member.

My husband and I made last minute reservations at Askew’s Landing for a two night kid-free get away in our camper. Booking was so easy and Hollie was so sweet and accommodating. When we arrived, we were taken to and shown our spot (which has not been the case at other campgrounds. We are usually just pointed in the general direction and on our own). Our spot had a concrete slab and a fire pit which was nice. We brought our own fire wood but were told that firewood was available for purchase at the office/store if we needed more. Even though there were many other campers there, our spot was quiet and the scenery of the lake was great. We were offered activities to participate in at the pavilion (bingo and a movie).

We visited Askew in December and stayed 2 nights. The staff was nice. We parked in campsite 60, near water. Mr. Mike, camp maintenance tech was extremely helpful. The grounds were clean and well kept. The bathhouse was very clean and warm, thanks to the wall heater (that was a nice touch for cold December mornings and nights). Everyone respected the quiet hours. Our family enjoyed sitting out by the water at night next to our burning fire. BTW, they also sell wood at the on-site camp store. There were some pull through spots, although ours was a back in spot. There were several long term camp residents that live on site, but the grounds around their units. The campground is off the beaten path, but aren't they all?

We needed a place to camp for one night. Only needed electricity and water. Booked the $25 site and had a peaceful evening. Up and gone in the morning at 8am. I appreciate the value and the service was friendly and prompt. Also bought some necessities from the camp store. Good job folks.

Love this place! Booked it at random due to the location for our annual Dallas Trip. Kids decorated cookies and they had a scavenger hunt set up. We will be back.

The park was lovely! Well worth the 2.4 mile drive from I-20. Our site was not level but not a big deal. The staff was very friendly!

Great place to stay. They are very accommodating. We were hauling a trailer with our RV they got a great easy pull through spot. Easy to access, all services, very quiet.

Stopped thru for a one night stay with my family. Called on the road and they told us no problem if we were going to be a bit late they would stay open for us as they had a fest going on until later. We pulled in and it was beautiful the road getting there from the interstate is a little tight with traffic and towing a large 5th wheel at night but was perfect in the morning. There would not usually be be as much traffic in the evening as I am sure the fest added to it. So to the fest it was a super cool and festive little community market with locals and others selling some really beautifully crafted items. There was food, drink, live music and about 30 vendors I would say all with unique stuff. I wish I had more money and room I would have left with quite a few of the big items they had. We needed an overnight spot to park our 38' motorhome, our jeep toad, and a U-haul with a trailer in tow. The Mississippi welcome center doesn't allow overnight stays anymor; even though their Website says you can stay. Loves RV spots are too small, and Askew's was our first call. Great service, beautiful little park back in the woods. Bath and shower rooms are very nice and they have a pool. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

I didn't review the rooms because I didn't see them but this place is great! Adequate restrooms and facilities. Everything is within walking distance so that is nice! I would love to go back in the summer and enjoy the pool! Great place for a family to go

Cutest place! Dressed up for christmas I felt like I was in a hallmark movie! Can't wait to go back during summer to see what great fun we can have.

Overall, I gave four stars because there is always room for improvement. The campground is beautiful, very well maintained and offers a nearby get away (not to far from home). The Christkindlmarkt was a lot of fun.

Back to four stars, we were in a pop up and needed something close to the bath house and our expectations were met and actually exceeded considering the warmth and cleanliness of the bath house. There were several occasions before, during and after the event that the toilets weren’t functioning properly but that happens from time to time. The spot was nice and spacious but it’s difficult to set a pop up without a designated area that is level. Finally, I know the event had everything and everyone busy but several times when asking questions, etc., responses were rushed and seemed to end on a short note. The overall stay was enjoyable and very peaceful.

We were transporting a fifth wheel for a friend when we had a tire blow out on I20. We had a reservation at Askew’s Landing and were 14 miles away. The folks at this campground went above and beyond getting us safely on a site. We notified them of our accident and asked about checking in late. We didn’t realize how late we would be!! They kept in constant contact with us through texting while we waited 4 hours on the side of Interstate 20 for a new tire. They waited for us until we arrived at midnight so we could safely get into a spot. The next day we had to go to Jackson to get 2 more tires. We were late getting checked out. Everyone we met and talked to were friendly and concerned about our situation! The campground is beautiful! The facilities are clean. We recommend this campground without a doubt. My experience at askew this past weekend for their market was phenomenal. I met the owner & manager, they were extremely kind and helpful to us vendors. The area was very clean & had multiple bathroom areas. 10/10 recommended!

I attended their Christmas festival and one of my friends was a vendor. I enjoyed it and even made a few purchases.

I was so thankful for the lovely vacancy! We were not fortunate to have a failed transmission on our thanksgiving holiday journey but we’re blessed to find a repairman willing and a lovely place to stay. A sweet gentleman helped us find our way in the dark. In the morning we found this beautiful sight!
