Askew’s Landing RV Campground

This is a beautiful campground, on a lake. We just stayed one night, so aren't familiar with all the amenities. But it was clean, well-kept, and very friendly and helpful management! They have a pool, and probably a lot of water fun options, for the family to enjoy. We would love to come back and stay awhile!

We just stopped for the night as we were traveling home. We happened to see a sign on the highway and decided to give this campground a try. Traveling with another couple and we all agreed this was a very good experience. We plan to come back. The managers, Mike and Holly, were very accommodating and fun. We may come back just to see them again.

We enjoyed our two night stay so much! The new owners have done an amazing job turning things around! It looks SO much better already! We love that there are activities for the kids to do. All of the staff are so sweet and helpful! We will definitely be staying here again.

Brian and I came to Askews Landing to be workampers. We can truly say we have fallen in love with this place. There is a big beautiful lake you can fish or kayak in. They have events all the time. This is a great place if you are looking for somewhere for just overnight coming down I-20 it is right off the interstate or if you are looking for a vacation spot. It has a great family atmosphere! Everyone we have met here have been extremely nice. I haven't even mentioned all the changes the owner is working on and the ones that have already been completed. This is a place you will come to once and make it a point to go back to. We are excited to be a part of all their new adventures and yours.

Park and management were very nice, got stuck getting into the site, but the staff pulled me out. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Only suggestion would be to put some rock down so it’s not a mud pit.

Very comfortable sites and friendly folks and management! I highly recommend if ever in the area.

We stayed 10 days at Askew. It is peaceful and perfectly situated to Jackson and Vicksburg. So much history to experience! The new owners are very lovely as is the manager, Holly. They are already working on improvements and their hospitality is exceptional. We will be sure to return to this area again as 10 days was not enough. When we do Askew Landing is a must!

The improvements that have been made under the new management team are phenomenal. This is an amazing and safe family atmosphere.

We had the best time today renting kayaks and having fun. Definitely the best place to learn and our children loved the view. We will definitely be back!

Great stay. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Due to cold and inclement weather we weren’t able to enjoy all the amenities. Would definitely stay again if our travels bring us this way.

Stayed at Askew RV park while traveling back to Florida from Texas. Hollie, in the office was great with helping us with booking, directions, and info. When we arrived we were happily greeted, and led by Mike to our site that was very spacious and easy to set up. Beautiful view. Not only was this a nice travel spot, but if you are looking for a nice place to camp for a while in this area, I highly recommend this RV park

Had a great time here with the grandkids. Lots of activities for the grandkids and adults as well. We were there New Years Eve. Kids made noise makers to celebrate the new year. They rode bikes . Great dog park areas with obstacle courses. Special actives throughout the year. I’m sure I’m leaving something out. Hope we come again soon.

This is a great little campground.
It came under new ownership in July and is in the process of making improvements.

The management and staff are great and helpful.

I really like the bathrooms. Each stall is like its own private bathroom.

We choose a waterside site and enjoyed the sunset several nights fireside.

Some tips:
Read each site description carefully, some sites don't have firepits or picnic tables, though if you need those things there are solutions, but every site is described in detail on the website. Originally it didn't list our site as having a firepit, but they were welcome to us using a portable one, but we were pleasantly surprised to find our site DID have one.
Use the dog parks if you have pets. My dogs loved the freedom of running free, but still in an enclosed location. They're runners lol.

Stayed in our Class B RV en route Colorado. Beautiful place and exceptional hosts. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Highly recommended.

Nice Campground with beautiful tall pines and a small lake. The only concern was the site we had was by many of the folks who lived there full time and the site was not very level
Also if it rains it would have been a muddy mess as our site was basic red dirt. We were in the Horshoe bend area. I would recommend the other side of the lake. The hosts were great and very nice. Also it was very quiet which made for a great night's sleep

First time staying here. We stayed four nights with grandkids and they had a great time riding bikes and playing. Park personnel were great. Very friendly and engaged in ensuring a positive stay.

Too many longterm campers but they were mostly separate from where we were camping. Recommend continue improvements that are planned now.

We will be back soon to continue the fun and enjoy the outdoors.

Additional comments. I understand you need them for the steady money but the premium spots around the lake are occupied by long term. So to get that type of site I will have to go somewhere else.
