Askew’s Landing RV Campground

Beautiful spot to relax! The setting is beautiful and the new owners are passionate about creating a place for all to enjoy. We lived watching the ducks snd geese in the lake. We didn’t have kids or dogs but they have a nice play area for kids and both s large and small dog park. TThe toilet / shower area was clean and heated! The staff was so friendly. They say this is Mississippi’s best kept secret but not for long!

Beautiful place off the beaten path. The management is very friendly, make you feel at home. Great sites for RVs. Can walk the dog for miles and enjoy the endless scenery. Will be back.

Beautiful campground with very friendly staff. It would be 5 star except the campground next to ours had a leak, making our campground very muddy and flooded.

We spent a week at Askew’s earlier this month. It was a relaxing week. The campground location is convenient and close enough to drive to Clinton, Jackson, or Vicksburg, but far enough away to be out of the rat race. The sites are spacious. Our son enjoyed the playground and scheduled crafts. We will definitely be back to spend more time!

Lovely people operating a great rv park. Beautiful lake setting, quiet, yet very convenient to I-20. We will plan to stay there again!

Great place! Great people!

My family and I overnighted at this lovely campground. We loved it so much and enjoyed the campground employees and other campers. Everyone was very friendly and the grounds were well kept. The showers and bathhouse were really nice! We are already planning our next trip here so we can stay longer and enjoy all the amenities they offer. Tent sites are great and they also have plenty of full hook up sites for campers some are back in and others are pull through.

We drive a tall and heavy diesel pusher. I contacted them ahead of time to confirm they could accommodate our coach. They moved me from the original site as a result and we had no issues.

The site was mostly level (grass) with full hookups. Everything worked. My only ding was not having a solid level surface, but the surface they offered was fine.

On Saturday night they had a hot dog cook out, bon fire, corn hole and karaoke.

Even though we were there for one night I could see spending more time to explore their lake and the large grounds they are on.

Warning for tall rigs, the county roads coming in have some low tree branches and you may need to zig zag the road to avoid the lower limbs. I was able to negotiate my way with a 13 ft tall 43 ft long coach with only a little concern.

Wonderful one night’s stay. Shared a fire with our lovely neighbors. Woke up to a great view of the lake. Be aware that the sound of a community movie was playing in the pavilion for the kids. Beautiful piece of property. Well-maintained and appears that owner is continuing to improve. Some of the long term resident campers (RV units…not the people) were cringy to look at but they were at the back of the property up on the hill. Arrive before dark as driving over the spillway/dam could result in a bad day if you go off the road.

Holly and the whole crew were amazing with the kids and had fun activities planned during the week. This was my kid’s first camping trip and I wish I would’ve taken them somewhere else because they are going to extremely disappointed when we go to another park. It was an amazing atmosphere and reminded me of the old days when my grandparents took me camping and I would be off on my bike all day without a worry or care in the world. We will definitely be back

The family that runs this campground is very helpful and goes the extra mile. The views are peaceful. The laundry room is clean and machines are in great shape. There is a pool, shelter and group campfire. It is close to Vicksburg and an easy drive. We had a wonderful time during our stay.

This was a very nice campground convenient to Vicksburg. Clean facility with very helpful and pleasant staff. I would return!

We stayed only one night,in our 5th wheel!the place was great,felt safe,it was quiet.would love to return for a longer visit!!

Beautiful campground and a great price!

Stayed overnight on our way to Disney World. We were lucky to find this freat spot on Harvest Host. We were glad to also have someone escort us to our campsite. Thank you again Askew Landing!

We stayed at Askew’s 4 nights while visiting family in the area and enjoyed it immensely! The park is extremely clean and well kept. The bathhouses were warm and clean. The RV sites were hugh! We had plenty of room for our 40’ diesel pusher. We loved the quiet rural setting with the ponds and all the wildlife. It was common to see deer when returning late in the evening. It is the perfect park if you are traveling with animals as there is plenty of room for them. The dog parks are also nice. While we weren’t traveling with kids, there is plenty for them to do—swimming pool, playground and lots of room to run and play. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Absolutely love this spot. Beautiful, quiet, spacious, well maintained campground. Easy access on and off the freeway, no noise.

We were just looking for a safe place to park our camper while dealing with some vehicle issues on the road. Staff was amazingly helpful. Campground was nice and quiet. We ended up staying one final night even though we didn't need to. Glad we found it.

We stayed there for a few days while we checked out Vicksburg and it was great! The staff was so hospitable and they had planned events for the kids over the weekend. We were upgraded to a site with sewer at no additional charge and it is definitely a place we will stay again when we’re in the area!

this was just a quick overnight rv stop for us but we really enjoyed the peace quiet and green space. Nothing fancy, but well kept clean quiet and great hosts. we will stop here again!

Stayed in our 35' RV. Lovely place, quite unexpected. When turning onto Askew Laniding Road, ignore the DEAD END sign. The park is before the road ends.
Terrific check in. I wished we lived closer, we would visit often. Also, loved the historical aspect of the area. Be sure to explore and read about Askews Landing.

Stopped here on our way from Texas to Pennsylvania. Found the campground on the Harvest Host site. Communication was prompt and responsive. The campground is close to Rt 20 so that is a big plus. However it was so quiet and peaceful! Beautiful lake, friendly people, warm and clean bathrooms. Wish we could have stayed longer. Liked that someone escorted us to our site. Close to Vicksburg and so much interesting history. A gem of a place!

Staff wonderful ! We just stopped for overnight but we WILL be back to stay longer!

Our overnight stay in the Jackson, MS area was pleasant with a view of the lake and the resident geese. The Campspot software required that we as Harvest Host members pay a six dollar fee but with water and electricity hookups it is a bargain. Sewer at site is available for a larger fee but the dump station is free. The campground is older, the sites are not well defined and the utilities are in need of updating but the experience was pleasant, the folks there very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
