Askew’s Landing RV Campground

Nice seclded campground, just easy of Vicksburg, Mississippi. We highly rate this campground.

It’s a beautiful spot with a little history thrown in! We camped overnight and were impressed by the quiet area and cleanliness. We stayed in our truck camper so I can’t comment on the rooms or food. We drive through Vicksburg quite a lot so this will be our go to campground from now on.

We stayed 1 night. It is a beautiful area. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park. It is quiet and the staff was friendly and willing to help.

This is a very pretty, quiet campground just off of I-20. We were only there for 1 night, but would definitely go back for a longer stay. We stayed at #40 and had a very nice lake view. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The park was very beautiful and serene. We arrived a few minutes after 8:00, so a gentleman came out on a 4X4 Jeep and guided us to our spot since it was getting dark.

The lake there was absolutely gorgeous, and the people were very kind and courteous.

This was just an overnight stop for us between Hot Springs AR and New Orleans. If our plans had allowed we definitely would have stayed longer. A beautiful, peaceful setting alongside a small lake. And the friendliest hosts we’ve come across on all our travels. They even made pancakes for the campground guests on Sunday morning (see photo)!

Stayed one night on our way to and from Texas to see the eclipse. What a surprise we had when we turned onto the gravel driveway. Beautiful park with a lake! You can rent a kayak and fish. They have a dog park for your furry friends which our dog did enjoy. You are escorted to your camp site which is nice and we even had a broken pipe which they helped us fix with some glue! On our way back home after all the rain storms, they gave us a choice of campsites since it was a tad muddy. Exceptional service and a great hide-away RV camp! Would definitely recommend and will stay there again if we pass that way. Thank you for being a great place to stay!

What a great hidden gem in Mississippi! I had a wonderful stay. Beautiful location tucked away not too far from the interstate. Staff was very hospitable. A quiet place for a great getaway. Give it a shot. You will not be disappointed.

This was a stopping point in the middle of our last trip for the eclipse. Easy to find using Google maps directions. And well off the beaten path. But so worth it. We made reservations online, check-in was a breeze and the staff in the office/store were friendly and helpful. We had a spot by the pond and enjoyed the ducks and geese. We didn’t have our fishing gear with us, but if you remember yours fishing is allowed. There are weekly events to attend, that night being Bingo followed by a movie in the pavilion. The peace and quiet were a welcome relief after a day of traveling. If we are ever in the neighborhood, we’ll stay again.

We only stayed for one night while passing through, bur I wish we could have stayed longer. Its a really beautiful place with a relaxed atmosphere. The property is well maintained and pretty.

Traveling to Texas, we stayed here for a week. Initially, we only planned to stay for a couple of days, but we extended our stay due to the exceptional customer service. We were impressed by how they welcomed every new camper, regardless of the time of day or night. The park was very peaceful at night, which was important to us. We noticed a water leak and Brian recommended someone to fix it. The repairman was able to fix the leak in the water intake. Later, we found another leak in the kitchen which was more difficult to fix but the repairman was able to solve the issue. Additionally, the dog parks were perfect for our furry friends. We will defiantly be back.

The camp hosts were very accommodating for a last minute reservation. We were on the road and wanted a safe place to stay overnight because of a large storm expected. The grounds where very nice, nothing bad to say. Will definitely stay again, hopefully longer than just one night next time. If your a harvest host member look these guys up.

Askew Landing is absolutely beautiful! We stayed for a night on our trip back home and I’m so glad we chose here to stop. The owners are very kind and friendly! Craig met us outside when we arrived and drove us over to our spot and made sure we go backed up good.
Waking up to the birds signing was an absolute dream and walking around the pond was so peaceful.
The bathrooms were incredibly clean AND get this y’all they have double ply toilet paper!! Haha it’s the little things that matter.
We also utilized their store on property and my daughter was pretty excited about their candy selection.
I wish we had more time to explore but from our short stay it appears they have everything you’ll need on your trip.

We’ll definitely be coming back to stay here. It’s so worth the drive.

Stayed for one night. Beautifully kept campground. Loved that not only were the staff friendly, accommodating, and helpful, the Ten Commandments were posted. That told me all I needed to know. Worth a quick stay, and I am sure the campground will be even more beautiful as they continue to renovate.

I thought my husband had made a wrong turn but nope. At the dead end take a right onto a well maintained gravel road. It opens up to a lake and a rv park. Wonderfully helpful host & hostess. We definitely will return.

I stayed one night, with my 19ft travel trailer.
This park is just Off the beaten path! Driving back to the office and campsite is a one-lane road. Incoming traffic has the right-of-way, as those exiting have a few pull-off spots (there are about 3), so be very slow and patient.
Lovely and extremely friendly staff, very helpful! The ambiance is also interesting with the water and fishing!
This is a grassy campground parking. So in very wet periods (recent rain), if you have a heavy rig, it could be a bit challenging. Also, there are some tight turns on the roads, so again, larger rigs will be challenged, but it is doable.
In muggy times, be sure to bring some bug spray! You will be near a lake, so that should be expected.
They are doing work in the park, making improvements.
There is no wifi at the spots at this time, so bring a hotspot. My phone...

My two daughters and I have gone to Askew’s twice. We just came home from a few night stay, and we absolutely love it. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but the people there make you feel like you’re part of the family from the time you step onto the campground.

On our first visit, we really enjoyed it, but this second visit was the one that truly stole my heart. In fact, we didn’t even want to leave!!! My girls begged me to stay longer, but we had to get back to life.

Hollie’s activities make it so much fun for my kids and me. We love the socials, holiday activities, and karaoke. Mike is so helpful too. He helped me jump start my car when my battery died at chicken thirty in the morning (with zero complaints that I had to wake him up). And we love how Drayce is so active with the activities.
