Askew’s Landing RV Campground

This campground really is a hidden gem. But even more of a gem is Mary!! We blew out a tire about 30 minutes out and were going to be late, so I called the camp and Mary was just the sweetest. She told us not to worry about anything that she would wait as long as we needed and that our safety was top priority. When we got there she was all smiles and helped us get into our spot for the night. The campground was clean and quiet and just the serenity we needed after a rough day. We will be back for sure, mostly because of the kindness Mary showed! Thank you so much, Mary! It's people like you that make these trips so special.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. There are two lakes that are filled with ducks and feel absolutely welcoming. There's also fish, and a swimming pool! We rented out the cabin here, but this place is predominantly an RV park. If you're looking for someplace to relax, camp, go hiking, or just enjoy the beauty that is nature, this place is an absolutely excellent choice. The staff here are also incredibly polite.

We just spent a fantastic weekend at Askew's Landing RV Campground and it truly exceeded all expectations! The grounds are beautiful, incredibly well-maintained, and the peaceful, wooded setting is the perfect escape.
Our site was spacious, level, and all the hookups worked perfectly. We especially loved the lake views and the quiet atmosphere at night. The amenities are top-notch—the pool was sparkling clean.
But what really sets Askew's Landing apart is the staff. They are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It feels like a true community here.
If you are looking for a relaxing, family-friendly, and all-around wonderful RV camping experience near Vicksburg or Jackson, look no further. We are already planning our next trip back! Highly, highly recommend!

Don't miss this place. There is something for everyone here. The lake, swimming pool, and many other things to do here make it a fantastic place for the whole family. You can rent canoes, kayaks, or just plain enjoy a paddle boat ride around the lake. You can even try your luck at gold panning. If none of that will do, just the peace and serenity of the place may be for you. Enjoy.

Bucolic location, beautiful rolling grass, mature trees, ponds with waterfowl, who wouldn’t want to stay forever? Well managed, and so pretty.

This is a campground that has a few cabins. We were on campsite #70 in a travel trailer. Very nice view of the water. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place

We highly recommend Askews Landing! We only stayed for a very short overnight stay but it was very peaceful and when we woke up the view was stunning as we parked right next to the pond. The dog park was well maintained and it was very peaceful. Super cute too!

We stopped for a quick overnight stop on our way through. We came got in pretty late and they had our packet and parking information waiting for us. When we got up in the morning it was very peaceful and a beautiful view of the pond right as we walked out our door. The dog park was great and they have taken great care of the grounds and decorated it beautifully. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Gave 5 stars for space when it was actually pull through campsite. Whole area is very clean and well maintained. Cheerful service and great location right off hwy with hearing very little of the hwy. Nice place to relax. People that had children had a number of activities, such as, swimming pool, fishing, nature, ducks, geese.
Talked to couple people within campground and they were very friendly. Can't go wrong staying at this place. Water/sewer//elect up to 50amp. Can accommodate tents to buses with trailers.

We opted for the primitive campsite and brought tents and air matresses. Our site was adjusted from one side to lake side before we got there but gave us the option to change back. We had 4 adults and they had adults with 8 children under 16. So we stayed lakeside....thanks for looking out for us. We had a blast. Will definitely stay again.

Spent a nice relaxing fall weekend in the Lakeside Farmhouse cabin. Meticulously clean. Cute decor. Comfy bed. Campground staff were very accommodating. 🏕️

Only thing that would have made our stay any better was if the fish had been biting. 🎣

We have really enjoyed our stay at Askew’s. It’s quiet, kid friendly with a country atmosphere. Pool, fishing, paddle boats, etc. Staff is all friendly and welcoming. This is a RV park we’d stay at again.

My family had the best time at Askew’s! It was so nice and quiet. Beautiful place. Very clean and peaceful!! Everyone was very friendly. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay. We will definitely be back. They also have day passes that we will also take advantage of!

Stayed here for my boyfriends 21st birthday and it was amazing. So many things to do and a beautiful location. We got a lake view site with our own swing chair by the water and it was probably the best site we’ve ever had!

Great place for an overnight stop if you’re traveling that way. Far enough off the highway to be super peaceful but close enough to be convenient. Beautiful property with a pool, little store in a great wooded area that’s very quiet. Full hookups and everything you need for an easy stay, such as a fire pit and picnic table. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Thank all of your staff for the wonderful night we spent there. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The property is very well maintained and clean. Nice and quiet. I wish my younger grandkids would have been with us because they would have loved it. Although keeping them from swimming in the lake might have been problematic.

Great wooded RV site just off the beaten path. Feels remote without the highway noise.

We camped for one night and had a wonderful experience. The bathroom was so clean. The campsite also had water and electricity. The store inside had all the basic things for camping. We didn’t have much time to try out the kayaks and pedal boats but will be trying that next time.
All the people over there are so kind and would highly recommend.

We stayed two nights on our way to New Mexico. We really enjoyed the quiet and the shade. We will be back again!
