I decided to replace existing roof with new roof shingles. I received multiple estimates and RJW Exteriors was nearly double the cost compared to other contractors. The reason I was sold to go with RJW Exteriors was the guarantee and white-glove service.
Overall I am satisfied with the results but they didn’t deserve a 5-star rating. I knocked out 1 star because I found out during the project that the contractors were third party. They outsourced the physical labor to another company although they are licensed. I wish they were clear about this part of the contract.
The guys didn’t thoroughly clean up after they were done. The Project Manager Tyler performed final inspection and noticed nails around my property. He stayed longer to collect the loose nails. I appreciated that he was committed to clean up. I was a bit disappointed and started to clean up myself. Tyler made a difference.
I want to believe I received high quality service and best warranty. The final cost for the new roof was nearly 3x more compared to the other contractors. I can’t help to think I could have saved some money if I went with some other contractor. Next time, I will ask more questions before I make my final decision.
