4/5 stars for everything but one major reason I knocked off 1 star. Our project officer, Rich.

From our initial call, to our salesman, Chris, everything went smoothly. They came out and showed us samples and digital renderings of our roof and siding project. We were so excited to get the call that our work would start even sooner than expected. We met our first project officer, which we wish we could’ve kept. We were reassigned to Rich and the vibe was just not there. He was really condescending when talking to me and my husband, sometimes even downright rude. He attempted to apologize for that behavior but it continued. He was very boastful about his work and abilities in a way that was distasteful to me.

We then quickly noticed that RJW sub contracts out all the work. The subs were very nice, but very messy. We repeatedly asked that they be very mindful of screws/nails being left behind as we have dogs and a toddler. They assured me they have a cleaning person specifically for that. Every single night, there was dangerous debris left behind despite having a dumpster. My husband had to do a sweep just for us to feel comfortable enough letting our dogs relieve themselves after being inside for 12 hours.

The house was finished pretty promptly and looks great so no issues there. Our issues are not with RJW itself but rather the arrogance of our project officer. Once completed (although still waiting on our extra siding that they screwed up and have yet to replace), we got called twice the next day at 6am for payment. Not from RJW offices but specifically the project officer. Again, we were met with a rude demeanor and at this point I realized this man just did not like us and was letting us know. My husband is not tech savvy and was waiting on an email that we never saw. Instead of being met with some grace and understanding, we were left nasty voicemails about them chasing us down for money when in reality, it was just a simple misunderstanding that could’ve been resolved with some kindness from Rich. I have worked with many contractors in the past, and I’ve never felt talked down to like I did with Rich. We have a bad taste in our mouth from him and despite wanting to work with RJW in the future, we will be requesting a completely different project officer in the future.
