I recognized that my vision was not normal and I was observing large "floaters" and a "shadow" looking up in my right eye. The following day, I went to my regular eye doctor. They diagnosed I had a torn retina. They contacted Retina & Vitreous Consultants, and they scheduled an immediate exam.
Dr Shaw evaluated my condition. He determined I had a torn retina and they were able to schedule surgery two days later. Considering that a delay in identifying and repairing this issue could cause loss of vision in my eye.
Now after 6 weeks, my recovering is going well. Dr Shaw said the progress is going as it is supposed to be.
They are a great group, I would recommend them to anyone with an optical problem. I have also learned that a number of friends and relatives also are or have been patients with high regards for them.

Every staff member was kind and I felt comfortable with each one of them. Dr. Shaw was extremely easy to talk to and the laser to repair my retina hole was smooth. My follow up appointment with Dr. Shaw was easy and the hole healed perfectly. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw and his staff.
