It was a routine exam nothing too involved. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable and treated me (and everyone I saw) politely.

Courteous Thorough Efficient

My shot in my right eye for wet macular degeneration by Dr. Shaw and his team on Wednesday April 29th went very well. And I am so pleased that Dr. Shaw now has me on a 9 week rotation instead of every 4 weeks like as short as last year. But things keep improving and I'm so very happy about that. I just want to thank the whole staff at Retina & Vitreous Consultants of Wisconsin at Mequon. They are a very compassionate, hard working and very patient pleasant group of medical personnel that I have encountered. I want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart. I don't know where I would be without all of you. Thanks so much, Gary Liethen.❤️

Dr. Shaw was pleased that my right eye had improved, and tried to get me a different formula for the next shot in my eye that could possibly improve it even more. The cost was prohibiting for me to have it. Pharmaceuticals and insurance companies continue to reap big profits while us poor Seniors go blind. A big thanks to Dr. Shaw for trying to help me even more.

I used to get really nervous about going to see Dr. Shaw and getting a shot in my right eye for my wet macular degeneration. But he and his staff make me feel very comfortable and I don’t think of the shot in the eye as I use to. They truly make me and my wife much more more relaxed and comfortable when I get the shots.

Dr. Shaw and his team know exactly what they are doing each and every time I have to have a shot in my right eye for wet macular degeneration. This condition has been an issue in my families history. I know my father had it because he was just about blind in hie right eye, but was never examined for the condition before he passed away suddenly. I come from a family of 6 sisters and 3 brothers, and I bring up the rear of my family of 10. Many of my siblings have passed away, I am now 71 with a brother who is 74 and a sister 77. My brother also has wet MD and was getting shots as I was, but now has told me his retirement insurance from the U.S. Air Force will not cover his shots after the end of 26. Both he and his wife retired from the Air Force after 35 years of service. So this just seems so pitiful the Air Force would do this after a man gives so much of his life to them. I believe...
