Reaction Exteriors is outstanding. Five stars are simply not sufficient. We purchased an 1833 old stone farm house that was in need of significant work. Fortunately, we were connected with Steve at Reaction exteriors. It was a very complicated project, given the age of the home. Reaction was by far the most informed and professional builder that we spoke with.

The age and structural challenges were difficult and included: structural shoring up of several load bearing beams; complete rewiring of the entire house; plumbing and sewer rework; drywall remediation; replacement of the entire roof; rebuilding of the dormers; replacement of the yard fence; replacement of an entire stone patio; removal of several enormous trees that were compromising the structural integrity of the foundation, and; the list goes on.

Despite the complexity of the project Reaction always delivered each phase on time, on budget and done to perfection. Unlike other experiences I have had with builders, Reaction stands out for their outstanding communication and attention to detail. We were assigned a project manager (also named Steve) who was incredibly responsive and consistently present. Equally involved were Steve (owner) and his partner Marcos who regularly visited the site and checked constantly via phone and text.

Of equal note, the Reaction Employees and Reaction specialist subcontractors were incredibly professional, responsive and delivered the highest quality of work. Additionally, they are to a person the nicest and most professional tradesmen I have ever encountered. Of equal note is the remarkable cleanliness of the project. Despite the scope and complexity we were able to live in the home during the work, never have I heard of or observed workers of any discipline who were so tidy and thoughtful. One weekend we had out of town guests coming- always a dicey proposition during a renovation, Reaction surprised us by having the entire house professionally cleaned from top to bottom (not just the work areas) in advance of the weekend. Similarly, upon completion of the project Reaction again cleaned the entire house again.

Reaction is also very unusual in that, initially we had wanted to also re-model the kitchen and master bedroom, Steve, while appreciative of our interest strongly recommended that we hold on these phases and live in the house for at least 6 months after the first phase of renovations to really figure out what we want - before taking on those projects. Of my friends and family, never have I heard of a contractor who turned down a potential 6 figure project phase, to ensure the client really understood what they wanted. Remarkable.
