The Goddard School

As a first time mom, I was a bit nervous about this school at first when my son initially started the school and i intentionally took my time in providing any feedback. I wanted to spend time evaluating the process, relationship with staff and value my son is getting from the school . I love the diversity of both staff and students, it truly does look like the United Nations in the school. Diversity and education are one of its strengths, I have also been happy to see that there is genuine care , concern plus support given to my son thus far.

We had a wonderful experience at the Goddard in Skillman and only left due the kids aging out and graduating. Between my 2 kids, they experienced multiple classrooms and we found each teacher to be patient, kind and engaging. Both my kids LOVED Ms. Z in the PreK B class—her teaching style, ability to draw out each child’s strengths and work on their deficiencies was truly phenomenal. She made the school day fun, interesting and educational. We will truly miss her. We also loved how warm and dedicated the other teachers we worked with —Ms. Poornima, Ms. Joshi and Ms. Hatice. From the moment my husband and I considered Goddard School for our five-year-old, we knew it was a special place. We feel very lucky to have a great daycare option for our daughter at The Goddard School in Skillman. The staff is excellent at meeting the needs of both kiddos and parents, and there are frequent communications about news, events, and of course those essential daily updates about how things went.

I want to acknowledge the infant care team lead, Miss Mangal, has been an amazing resource for us as new parents. Miss Mangal treats us like family and has given us a number of tips and insights into how our daughter is progressing at school. This is an amazing institution. The teachers are the perfect blend of compassion, calmness and genuine passion for teaching and for the children in their care. The facility is always clean and organized. The curriculum is well-planned and relevant to the different age groups. I cannot believe how much my child has blossomed in such a short time. Sanjay is consistently respectful, flexible and kind to the children, parents and staff alike. It’s very nice to be able to drop and pick up our kids inside the classroom as they get acclimated. We enjoy watching daily updates that include pics and videos of our child during active play and learning. The variety of motor activities is nice to see. It would be nice to see events held inside the classroom where parents are invited to see our kids perform a song, etc. My other son’s preschool used to do this. They also taught the children a daily good morning and goodbye song and a theme song for every month of the year. Overall, we are very happy with The Goddard School. Thank you! Read more >

My son joined when he was 4.5 months in the infant room and the infant team leader, Ms Mangal, was the reason we decided to choose The Goddard School of Skillman. I just felt her nurturing character within one interaction. I was right on point. We toured several other daycares/schools and this one beats it with flying colors (especially now that we have personally experienced it). I had even asked for a reference to verify my assumption and it was confirmed. The amount of love and attention he gets everyday from all his teachers leaves me feeling so confident and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Ms Serena and Ms Chrissy who started with our son in the infant room and now with the toddlers, is also why we will stay and feel so confident about our son’s care. We have two children at the Goddard Skillman location and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The teachers and staff are incredible, attending to the unique needs of each of our children.
