I normally hate to write reviews, but I felt like this was well deserved. I always prefer to write them after I've had the product for a while and the "new" has worn off.
We worked with Outback to replace our 12x20 wood deck that came with the home (builder grade junk) with a 12x34 deck with the TimberTech product and aluminum railing. They did a great job, explained where any cost overruns might come from (such as depth of footings and any rot on the house from the old deck), showed up when they were supposed to, and finished as close to on schedule as weather would permit. Our project manager, Kris Ziegler, did a great job communicating and answering questions, as well as dealing with issues that always come up in construction.
Additionally, I did have a warranty item (a joist warped, nothing with the TimberTech), and they immediately took care of it. Literally within 3-4 days of notification. Sometimes warranty work can be a nightmare, but this was handled excellently! Again Kris took care of us, and followed up to make sure we were satisfied.
Look, these guys are not the cheapest, but they did a great job and my wife and I spend every night on the deck now. We actually get to relax and enjoy it instead of worrying about plunging to our deaths! I feel like you get what you pay for, and we definitely feel like our deck was money well spent. I highly recommend them and would use them again in the future.
