We have 44 year-old Marvin wood windows in our home. The 19 windows are still beautiful. We put storm windows on a few years back, and unfortunately there was a lot of condensation between the primary and storm - especially on our upper story. We were ready to replace them, with a quote of $36,000 from a local contractor. Before this, we called Nex Gen in Fort Collins as we thought a Marvin replacement might be a great solution. The staff was superb - so caring and friendly! In September Ted drove 105 miles (one ways) to Sterling for a consultation. He said our windows were in excellent shape, and he felt three holes drilled in the bottom of the storm windows would provide air flow - and prevent this condensation. This is my second NexGen post regarding the purchase and installation of new windows. I bought a new home in Loveland this Spring and the windows were way past their useful life. I loved the NexGen windows I had installed in my Fort Collins townhome, so I decided to go with NexGen for my Loveland house. Steve, Arthur and Dustin installed my 7 new windows in one day, and those 3 men worked their tails off. My old windows were difficult to get out, but they did a fantastic job. The new windows look so good! I am also noticing that my house is much quieter and that my furnace doesn't run as much on these cold November days. It started with the salesman, Neil, he is a kind, genuine, and honest man. He only states was is true and makes the process easy, understandable, and was on site during installation as well. We did a walk through and looked at each window, inside and outside to make sure I was happy with the outcome. He spot cleaned a window to make sure that when he walked away, I did not have to do anything. Kacey and Mike were the installers. I could not have asked for better guys to work with. Their work was impeccable, they paid attention to every detail. Mike even helped with making sure everything was out the way and off the walls so nothing would get ruined.
