I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 4 years ago. At one point my pain being so bad I was unable to get off the couch. I also suffered from nausea and fatigue due to digestive problems. When I made the initial appointment I was having pain down my legs, almost daily nausea and a mood that varied depending on the day. My treatment began twice a week. It was explained that I had too much “dampness” and that was causing my pains. I was given easy suggestions such as wearing socks and sneakers when walking my dog, keeping my feet warm when at home and to do simple breathing techniques that I did during the treatment, but at home to protect the work that was happening during acupuncture. Each time I went for a visit I got a little better. The nausea was gone first. Within a few visits! Every visit I was asked how I was feeling and what I was noticing. Dr. Shu is very patient and responsible. I went to her because of eczema on my neck, shoulders, and arms. I had previously seen a doctor and used steroid medications, which controlled the condition for a while but then caused even more severe flare-ups that seriously affected my daily life. I found Dr. Shu’s clinic on Google. During my first visit, she carefully learned about my condition and created a treatment plan that combined acupuncture, bloodletting, cupping, and herbal medicine. At each follow-up, she listened attentively and adjusted the treatment according to my situation. Throughout the entire process, she has been very patient and kind.

I sprained/broke my ankle, and after 4 months, the ankle was still very swollen. Dr. Shu was able to significantly cut down on the inflammation within just a few visits. I'm talking more than halving the size of my swollen ankle. And they accepted my insurance.

After this, Dr. Shu was able to help clear up my lungs, clear up some headaches, and help me restore calm.

During this process, Dr. Shu walks me through which organs she is targeting, which fascinate me. It feels like Traditional Chinese Medicine is much more focused on the whole body's health, rather than just trying to alleviate symptoms.

I am enjoying my journey with Dr. Shu as I learn more about the health of my body from the TCM perspective.

When playing sports, I hurt my thumb really badly and it caused me to be worried about its mobility for some time, but after getting acupuncture here, my thumb has felt more stable ever since.

The atmosphere is very calming and nice, what I really like are the heat lamps that are in every room. As somebody that doesn't feel great if my feet get cold, having heat sources like that is a massive help.

Dr. Shu has been amazing! I have had other experiences with acupuncture, but this is by far the best experience. As a breast cancer survivor, I was told that I was possibly in perimenopause. After working with Dr. Shu, she was able to help my cycle regulate as well as manage my anxiety and improved my sleep. She also helped me manage my TMJ as I used to go for Botox prior and I have not been needing it since seeing her. She is very knowledgeable and knows the body very well! This is a long past due review. I was introduced to this place last year (2024) by a friend because I suffer from sever migraines and Tylenol wasn’t even taking the edge off during my pregnancy. I was crying almost on daily basis and had no idea how will i get through 9 months of debilitating headaches. so i gave acupuncture a try with Dr Shu, and i all i can say is she truly changed my life! my migraines got a lot better she even helped with my sleep and nausea. Also, beyond the acupuncture, Junting was very honest and genuine. when there were things she couldn’t help with, she’d say it upfront she didn’t let me try just for the sake of money which i highly respect. I’ve been recommending Junting for my friends, family, and coworkers and whoever went gave a positive feedback.

I went to New Hope after being diagnosed with Colon Cancer (stage 2 or 3). Surgery was immediately scheduled to remove the large tumor which could be felt just under my rib cage and was painful.
I had digestive issues for years and my goal was to prepare my body for surgery. I got so much more.
During my initial consultation and initial treatment pain points in addition to the area of the tumor were discovered. I was able to have seven treatments before my surgery and my pain points either significantly decreasd or went away all together. My stomach bloating also went away and most significantly the tumor could no longer be felt through my skin - as if it had decreased in size.
My post-op recovery has been great. I left the hospital being able to walk steadily with minor abdominal pain and needing only Tylenol for pain management.

Had a Shingrex shot in my shoulder that caused severe pain, loss of range of motion and muscle weakness. After suffering with this for several months the NP told me I might try acupuncture. I was skeptical, since I had tried acupuncture previously with minimal results. After reading lots of positive reviews from New Hope, I decided to make an appointment. Fengrui has not only fixed my arm muscle pain, weakness and rom, but she has treated some depression I'd been having (i had just gone thru a bad divorce, move, then unresolved arm pain!). While my arm is still not 100%, my depression is gone, I'm sleeping better and I have tons of energy. Highly recommend New Hope!

This acupuncture clinic is helping my family members. Dr. Shu is very attentive and thorough. My ear inflammation, tight muscles, and dizziness jmproved alot after just one treatment.

It's rare to find such a good TCM acupuncturist overseas. Dr. Shu's skills are superb, and she is patient, meticulous, and incredibly perceptive. During the treatment, the needles applied to the painful areas provided immediate and significant relief. Xiao Jia at the front desk was kind and attentive, answering all questions and always putting the patient's needs first. I'm so lucky to have such a clinic near my home.

I’ve been having shoulder/back pain for months, not only does the treatment help with pain relief, I feel more relaxed, higher energy throughout the week, and feel more balanced after each visit.

I can't say enough great things about my expeirence. I saw all the positive reviews and was unsure what to make of it, but this has been life changing for me. I came here after no medication could treat my pregnancy vomiting and nausea and after a few treatments I made significant improvement. It is now gone completely. I then continued to come and they were able to treat a headache and nasal congestion. It works so well it is almost unbelievable and a lot of it ended up being covered by my insurance! I feel so lucky to have found them.

I have been receiving acupuncture treatment for shoulder pain. The pain was so severe that I was unable to raise my arm when dressing. After several treatments which included cupping, I can move my arm and exercise. My arm is getting stronger, and the pain is minimal. Junting Shu is kind and attentive and very thorough. She will ask questions and take notes before each session.
I also struggle with seasonal allergies, namely nasal congestion and itchy eyes. The last few years my eyes were so itchy that I saw dermatologist and did the usual tests. No matter what eye drops I used, nothing worked. Since I began seeing Junting Shu for shoulder pain, I noticed my eyes are not itchy, and I haven't used eye drops since I started acupuncture.
