These women and their unique therapy techniques have completely changed my life. I’ve spent the last 10 years in and out of doctors and all kinds of specialists for chronic pain issues of the whole body. After only a couple of weeks I was noticing the positive results. I’m now towards the end of treatment where I’ll continue to recalibrate my muscular system and manage the progress that’s been made. 3 months ago I couldn’t even pick up my 3 year old, let alone tend to the daily tasks of life, or attend to physical fitness activities for myself. Now… I can carry my little one (when necessary), I can ride my bike again, run errands without breaking them up across the week, and much more. I’m also sleeping better, waking up in less pain, and in general spending less time in pain.

I’m a 74 year old Male. About 3 years ago, I tore my left labrum playing lawnbowls. After the tear, every step I took was very painful. An orthopedic surgeon told me I needed a hip replacement to get rid of the pain. I went to a chiropractor and standard physical therapy instead. Over time, the pain began to decrease but never went away. About a month ago I walked into a Manual Physical Therapy Clinic on Prospect Rd in Sarasota and enquired about their service. I met Pam who is delightful and provided a brief explanation of how Manual Physical Therapy differes from the standard physical therapy. Then Pam introduced me to Lead Therapist, Joann Pung who evaluated my posture, my movements while walking, observing my joint mobility and muscle tightness. I received a thorough explanation of why my labrum area was in pain especially when I walked. I was mesmerized listening to this method...

So I’ve spent most of my life in pain. I had mysterious leg pains since I was a child and then got rear ended twice in my mid twenties and was left with horrible neck and shoulder pain. I’ve done physical therapy, gone to a chiropractor for years but the pain always came back and progressively got worse. I had honestly given up on ever having a normal life - I figured I would never go back to kayaking and sports and just all the things I loved. Jocelyn showed up in my life like an angel- she has created a technique of physical therapy that I was First unsure(especially it being self pay) of but am now her biggest fan and believer. She has not only fixed my shoulder pain but is now helping me with my legs which doctors never found an answer for. All in the span of just 2 months. If you are doubting it for even a second I cant recommend it enough- especially when you’ve been in pain...

I’m an 80 year old male. Been a patient of MPT an JoAnn for years. I have many physical limitations. However, when recommended to MPT by my Orthopedic Surgeon I had to investigate, and thank God I did. Joann has kept me out of a wheelchair. Increased my mobility and helped with my chronic pain. It isn’t an inexpensive process. However, I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for, while being an informed consumer. Thanks JoAnn

If you are dealing with persistent chronic pain I highly recommend going here. I’ve dealt with pain for a long time due to a cycling accident. MPT was able to fix my alignment which in turn reduced my pain. Joann is incredibly knowledgeable and so far has been the only therapist that has helped me.

Joann is AMAZING!!! One appointment with her got me out of pain that I’ve had since 2004! Highly recommend and I can’t wait to have her work on the rest of me. Being an ultrasound tech is really hard on the body so physical therapy is almost way of life for us. The way she works is unbelievable and I knew from the first conversation with her that it was going to be different than the plethora of chiropractors and physical therapist that I’ve seen in the last 20 years. Nobody could ever help me long-term but this has been absolutely amazing and educational. Cannot recommend enough!

Had two injuries that were each cured by Manual Physical Therapy rather than surgery.
Went from barely walking to 100% cured within several weeks of working with them.
Follow their preventative maintenance to avoid getting into these situations. Play golf 7 days a week

Update to my earlier review. I continue to come here for maintenance services and my Physical Therapist, Dr. Maira Vargas is excellent. She always spends time with me to find out what issues I am currently experiencing and she works on my body to work to relieve those issues. All the office personnel are pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Manual Physical Therapy.

I have been coming to Manual PT & Concierge Services for some time and I find the staff to be professional and offer excellent service. PT is personalized to your individual needs. The office is clean and well managed and my Physical Therapist Maira is excellent. I highly recommend this company.

This is unlike any therapy you have ever had or will have. I promise you it will change your life forever. If you have tried everything and are ready to say, "there must be a better way?" then you have found the right place! This therapy did changed my life forever. I wish anyone who has chronic pain that has given up on ever getting any relief in an amazing and finite way would just try this therapy. If a doctor has told you that you need surgery and you just do not want that method, I would recommend you check this out first. You have nothing to lose and a world of peace and freedom to gain. I was her first patient when Joann launched her practice solo back in early 2014. She has a unique way of treating ailments and I keep going back to her whenever the need arises. She can do magic.

Maira provides outstanding treatment for mussel therapy. She is very knowledgeable and very thorough in her treatments. I highly recommend this service for long term mussel therapy and pain relief.

They really helped me a lot even though I still have some pain at times. But Joann did tell me she might not be able to get rid of all the pain.

5 years ago, My husband was suffering from severe spinal stenosis. He had several years of various interventions without relief. She was Today after 3 months of therapy with Joanne he has, despite the prognosis of his physician, returned to a normal active life.
Six months ago I broke my hip and following 22 visits of traditional pt my ortho wanted to discuss a hip replacement. Having seen my husband's progress, I went to Manual Physical Therapy and Concierge Services. After 18 visits, I am able to live a relatively pain free life and I walk over a mile per day. I strongly recommend this practice for any individual with orthopedic issues that require a concentrated, and a non pharmaceutical approach for a restoration of function.

The team takes the time to evaluate your whole body and how you are moving. I always feel better after a series of treatments. I have so much respect for everyone there

I have been going for manual physical therapy with Joanne Pung for the last two years. She has provided unbelievable help and relief for my many physical pains ie.hip, back, knee. Her understanding of the body musculature is outstanding and she is always able to find the right spot to release your pain. Manual physical therapy is very different than regular physical therapy but I have found it more successful. Joanne is highly supportive, comforting professional who demonstrates a great desire to help her patients. Her office is clean and well stocked with drinks and snacks as you wait. Her husband who is the office manager is extremely warm and personable. i think there is always some disbelief in Joannes approach however based on all her patient feedback and mine personally I can recommend her services highly and am grateful that I found her.
