Lumin Laundry

Super clean, new machines, helpful staff. Great area to sit and work with flavored water while you wait. Clean bathrooms and everything you need. Slightly expensive but worth it for the cleanliness and comforts.

Pretty nice laundromat. They've got the nice Electrolux machines that get your clothes clean really fast and really good. Nice atmosphere and there's actually an employee. They even do your laundry for you if you're willing to pay. Which I just well might be next time. It is a little pricey though. The whole laundromat I mean. A little more expensive than the Wedgewood laundromat. But if you're around lake Forest Park this is the laundromat you should go to.

PS, the attendant I didn't get their name I'm very bad with names who was working on Thursday May 15th was very helpful in courteous even though all of the questions I asked them could have been answered by reading a sign.

Leaving my original review below, but came to edit. This place is AMAZING! They're clean, awesome super fast machines that are actually maintained, and a comfortable lounge area make this laundromat really stand out! After my poorer experience, I met the owner. I was doing laundry here (even after my experience before, it's the best place I've been so I kept coming back) and the owner approached me and we had a great conversation! They told me a little more about how they promptly handled the staff member I was previously concerned with, and we connected on both running small businesses. I'm glad they decided to approach me about my concerns and that we got to meet!

This is the most amazing laundromat I have ever been to! & I have been to at least one laundromat in most of the states in the USA.
It is extremely clean, there are twice the amount of washers & dryers than a ‘normal’ facility. This place is HUGE! You will not be waiting to wash your items, & you aren’t jammed in with a bunch of people.
They have a large sitting table, a few single booths with trays & charging stations, free WiFi (GOOD WIFI, not that half ass wifi) AND a ‘Bevi Center’ that provides you with refreshing water of your choice while you wait (sparkling or still, with added vitamins & different flavors!)
The staff is super helpful, kind, & were very understanding of my particular circumstances! They have great attitudes, customer service & are genuinely there to help in whatever way you may need.

Today 4/14/25 is going to be 3rd and more than likely LAST time I will use this establishment. The place is beautiful, the staff are great, my clothes get really clean, and I don't have to spend 1000.00 dollars to dry my clothes. Meaning some places purposely have washers that leave clothes extremely wet and you have to spend too much on the dryer. The dryer at Lumin was actually my favorite thing!
The reason I may not return is Frankly 9:00 AM opening time is slightly ridiculous to me. Most laundromats open between 7:00 and 8:00. I even know of one that opens at 6:00 AM. The most precious thing to me is TIME!

Wow! This laundromat is the Best! I enjoyed my experience, the service and clean rugs and comforter when I left. What would normally take 3 hours to wash all my big rugs and my comforter, took just over one hour. It was a clean and well maintained laundromat. The attendant was great at explaining to me the procedure as a first time customer. Thank you Lumin for this very pleasant experience, I will be back 😁

What a lovely laundromat located right next-door to the Ballinger Thriftway. There is an amazing variety of machine sizes for all your laundry needs. The Electrolux high-performance machines not only clean extremely well, but also deliver your laundry lightly damp. And, a plus plus is they can do your wash for you as well. If you’re not sure if you can wash an item, the staff is available to assist you. There’s no reason to be concerned about your safety, comfort, or the cleanliness of the machines you’re putting your personal items in, and it’s affordable.
Lumen laundry takes all of the hassle out of going to the laundromat. There’s plenty of parking, carts to bring your laundry in and out and ease of payment. They take doing your laundry to new level!

My washer broke and I was nervous about going to a laundromat for the first time. Arnie the owner introduced me to his high tech beauty laundromat. State of the art machines from small to extra large. Dryers that dry at the speed of light. Comfortable chairs and tables, laundry products all at reasonable prices. Signage on the white walls inform you where to go, everything is pristine and very inviting. My experience at Lumin had been very enjoyable! Thanks so much,

Nice personal. Awesome machines . Clean ace. I mean, overall, it's a perfect place to go do laundry.

I honestly never thought I would utter the phrase, “I love this laundromat!” - but here we are. The whole operation is shiny clean and their attention to detail is apparent. Awesomely efficient washers and the dryers take only 15 mins to dry a whole load of laundry. The dryers alternate their rotation so even a comforter doesn’t get all bunched up. Their equipment investment is very impressive.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the hangout areas are quite comfortable. The Green Papaya restaurant nearby has excellent pho, too.

I’m in and out of this place in less than an hour, with full loads of laundry for like $6 total. If you don’t have a working washer dryer at home, go here!

Very clean place, machines are super efficient, staff friendly & helpful

First time here and flat out this is the best laundromat I've ever used anywhere. Very clean, bright, comfortable, and lots of space. The attendant working 3/26 afternoon is a fantastic lady and was just so helpful to everyone during my time there. She explained everything patiently and kindly, because this is a different system than any I've used before.

The machines are clean, perfect height level for my 5ft height, and easy to see into to make sure there's nothing stuck in the rollers. Very simple to use, and the detergent drawer is on the front rather than top so you can easily see it.

Overall, an excellent place, will absolutely be back.

I love this place everybody is so nice and the place is clean and beautiful I have to love it.

This is the best laundromat I have ever been to! It was the cleanest and best-managed facility I’ve encountered. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, especially since it was my first time using their machines. They even offered me some detergent, which was nice of them, even though I had brought my own. They recommended that I use theirs to help clean my soiled king-size comforter. The staff was friendly, and the laundromat had nice TVs to watch and coffee available while you waited. It was a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to go back!

Very clean friendly workers. They have TV’s so you can go watch sports or whatever you choose. Drinks. They have vending machine with necessities for laundry. My favorite place to clean my clothes.

On my first visit, the kind owner walked me through the entire process from buying the card to operating the machines. Speaking of machines, they are fast and efficient. It took less than one hour to wash and dry a thick queen comforter.

I had a comforter washed and dried, and it only took an hour and a half because they have high efficiency equipment that dries extremely fast. It was $30 to clean a king comforter which I didn’t think was too bad considering how expensive the comforter was and I couldn’t do it otherwise.

Never thought a laundromat would be what made me leave a review somewhere but this place is amazing. Arnie has taken an often neglected necessity and turned it into a luxury / third space. While traveling with a tour we stopped here twice because the combination of usable work space, WiFi, atmosphere, and assistance allowed us to maximize our time and ensure success.

From the laundry perspective, there are SO MANY super washers, but not at the detriment of other sizes. There is a true run of any size you would need and during my first visit I was actually ENCOURAGED to downsize a load to save money cause there were smaller machines available. Amazing! While waiting you also get to relax in the store, or walk around the shopping plaza. There is dedicated parking for Lumin customers, and plenty of overflow in the area with a grocery store in the same plaza if you needed to...

I just love supporting this business. The owners are always there, super friendly and helpful and they take pride in their business. I constantly see them cleaning, mopping, wiping things down and offering to help people. I love that they are all new clean machines and large capacity, so comfortable to wait for your goods.
