I wanted an egress window for safety and more light. Ron came to my house to explain what Egress Pros offer. Ron was a pleasure to work with. Ron showed me what options I had available and gave me a very reasonable price. I went with an egress window larger than the standard size.
Miguel installed a large egress window and did an absolutely superb job. They dug the hole by hand in 1 hour and cut the foundation with a saw, in 1 hour and 15 minutes. They sealed the inside of the basement so no dust would enter the basement. They did an extremely neat job. Then they installed the frame and header, then the window and sealant. It only took slightly more than 1/2 a day. They arrived at 7:40 am and finished at 1:30PM.
The egress window was installed where I had a small basement window. My previous window seeped water when there was a heavy rain. Egress Pros did a much superior job and installed a pressure treated frame with Basecrete and another sealant. Their egress window frame will never seep water. They installed a white metal surround which should keep water from entering and an inground drain which should effectively let any water drain if it gets in.
The Egress Pros window is not only a tilt and swing, but has a security latch mechanism with multi-point locking that locks into the frame in several places. It also has a ventilation lock, so it can be tilted partially open and locked. The glass is double pane insulated and tempered glass. The window hinge is smooth and effortless. This is a top quality window. Additionally, I like the size of their tilt and swing window that is one size larger than their standard window. The window I got is 36" x 48".
Now, I have to remove and replace my other small basement window and redo the frame like they did or close it with cement. That one will be in a utility room, so I don't need the window.
I have been remodeling my house for 3 years and was going to have someone install the Egress window, but Egress Pros had a very competitive price. I highly recommend Egress Pros.
