First Call was excellent right from the beginning when I called concerning a mold issue in my house. Janice took the time to answer my initial questions the first time that I called with no preasure to commit to contracting with First Call. She referred me to Mike the owner when I had questions that she thought he was better suited to answer. Mike was great from beginning to end. The technicians that performed the work were also very nice and accommodating. My wife and I were very concerned about the mold problem that we had in our house and First Call took us through the remediation process with patience and professionalism. We came gone from vacation to find our hot water had spit water all over the closet. We had tricolor mold from floor to ceiling and the floor under the water heater was spongy. Called First Call at the suggestion of our insurance adjuster and were really impressed with their work. Their team came in, dried up the water, vented the moldy air outside so our inside air quality was mold free. The office staff was kind and caring with all our questions and concerns. My experience with First Call Restoration that began on Monday February 4, 2019 exceeded all of my expectations. My initial phone conversations which I had with Janice and Melissa from their main office were friendly, professional, and reassuring. As promised, two equally friendly and reassuring company field technicians (Nick and his helper Elijah) arrived at my house that same Monday afternoon just a few hours after the plumber finished repairing the burst water pipe that flooded my basement. Nick quickly assessed the situation and, at my request, was able to get a four man team there on early Wednesday morning to work on carefully moving out my basement contents along with the damaged wall to wall carpeting and padding. Although the family is nice I had a horrible experience with the company. This was a few months back and I'm still upset so decided to finally write my review. The damage that had been done was enough that I couldn't stay in my home, I gave first call my keys so that they could get in and out without me having to constantly be there. They lost the key to my house and had to come to my workplace to retrieve the only other key, which made me nervous giving a worker a key to my home and not the owner. Eventually the key was found so no harm no foul. Then once the work was over I was asked for payment. That's fine except it was going through insurance, they were aware of this as well.
