Swept Away Restoration responded immediately to our request for service, when we had a cracked drain pipe, leaking water through the ceiling of our garage. Joanna came out to conduct an initial assessment of the damage and scheduled Sequoia to do a further inspection the next day. He determined the scope of work needed to dry the area, and installed the dehumidifier the next day. It didn’t take as many days to dry, as expected, so Joanna submitted a fair invoice, which was below the estimate she had originally submitted to us. She provided me with all of the documents needed to file an insurance claim, if I chose to, plus a certificate of completion for future reference. We are incredibly grateful to Swept Away Restoration, for several really important reasons. We recently had a burst pipe in our wall between kitchen and TV room (also affecting the garage ceiling!). Referred by Latham Plumbing in Ashland (also one of the best we've had), Joanna and Sequoia with Swept Away a.) responded ASAP, which we learned, is VITALLY important in preventing mold, especially for us, because I have a serious lung disease, b.) they use the best diagnostic tools and equipment to gauge efficiency (blowers, gauges, fans, you name it), came every day to check the progress, created sealed plastic barriers so we could continue living in our home easily without having the temperature too hot, explained everything very clearly so we could understand the process of thoroughly drying everything out , and they are experts with many years of experience and professional ongoing... Our dishwasher sprang a leak and and was not discovered for almost a full day. Once the plumbers stopped the leak, Sequoiah had brought out dryers and dehumidifiers within two hours. For the next five days Sequoiah came out, took moisture readings, made slight adjustments according to the readings, and gave us status updates. Joanna was aware and available throughout the process. Once the readings indicated the water was all dried up, Joanna immediately got all the paperwork to us and our insurance company. A wonderful company to work with through a terrible situation.
