Follow up: My first appointment didn't go the best, there may have been a miscommunication in understanding what I was looking for. They allowed me to come in again at no charge and I met with Lisa who was amazing! She gave me lots of useful information in a clear and understandable manner that will make it very easy manage my nutritional needs. I also had an RMR done to get an idea of what calorie range I should be in based on my exercise levels. I will definitely going back to them.

I have been working on and off with Lisa for the last 7 years. I first came to her when I needed help to stop dieting and just learn how to trust my body near food. What I love about her is that she knows the emotional component to food but she also understand the scientific and nutritional side as well. She helped me learn how to be able to eat all foods with peace of mind and peace in my body. Then, again through pregnancy she helped me trust my body more with all the cravings I had. Now I see her whenever I feel I need some extra support around my relationship with food! Most of all she helped me learn how to be healthy in the most sustainable way! I would trust her or any of the other people that work for her. She has built an incredible practice!

The team at Essential Nutrition were very helpful during the initial stages to get my wife, me and our insurance set up so we could start our journey to healthier eating habits. The only thing that was a little wonky was using the patient portal to provide the information before our first visit. It could have easily been me, but I felt like I didn't get enough direction and/or instruction on how to use the format an what was expected before I showed up at the first session.

Lisa helped me learn how to eat after I was diagnosed as gluten, grain and dairy intolerant. There weren't a lot of resources then (or foods to substitute with) but Lisa made it easy for me. She provided recipes, alternative foods and helped me with my mindset about "losing" so many foods from my diet. If it weren't for Lisa I wouldn't have known what to eat beyond a handful of foods. And now I'm healthier than ever and know exactly what to eat!
