EMS University, LLC

I had a positive experience with EMS University, but I think this is mostly due to my instructor Dan Taylor in South San Francisco, CA, who was very helpful in learning skills and very knowledgeable. Outside of Dan, my experience with EMSU was dominated by the company's attempt to be a modern, digitized school which was plagued by technical difficulties and malfunctions. Many times tests were closed inappropriately before my classmates and I could take them, exam results were lost after I took the exam, Online fillable forms for my externships assignments did not properly display both Preceptor and Student's name, date and signature, and my ability to complete the course was primarily due to my constant asking of favors from the Customer service and having them manually approve assignments that were often misgraded by a cheap AI service. I heard borderline nightmare tales of other locations who were only offered a few in-person class days the entire course. I feel lucky to have had Dan, but I urge the EMSU staff to simplify the web design and AI grading (maybe use canvas instead of moodle? It is universally used in universities and almost never has issues like there seem to have been with moodle), and find instructors who can commit to in-person instruction.
