I Love Colorado Theological Seminary because it allows me to work and study at my own pace. The classes are FIRST CLASS based on material provided and how it relates to the Word of God! I am a Doctor of Christian Counseling cohort and I look forward to graduating and representing this school as an alum. Blessings to all who are considering this school, it is a great place to learn and study the WORD of GOD!

My experience was wonderful. The Doctorate courses were challenging and enlightening. The C.T.S. classes were more Spirit filled than my previous University that is much bigger. An advisor was with me for every class which is very personable and nurturing. Dr. Elizabeth Oakley prayed and offered academic wisdom. Dr. Tryzbiak is a great leader and also personable. The difference in C.T.S. is comparable to eating at an independent restaurant where everything is made by hand versus a large chain where the ingredients are frozen. I highly recommend trying one class as soon as possible. The best thing is the price, so you will not have to sell your plasma for tuition.

I received my Masters in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and have a growing practice. I work with people from all different backgrounds. In December 2023, I completed the Doctor of Christian Counseling (DCC) Program with Colorado Theological Seminary (CTS) in Longmont, CO. My frame of reference entering the program was having previously completed a master’s degree in Professional Counseling with Webster University in St Louis; then having been licensed and working part time in Illinois for seven years as an LPC. I also completed courses and certifications with the American Association of Christian Counselors, and worked pro bono for churches in the St Louis area.

My DCC program with CTS included ten classes that were supported by Christian theology and classes that explained temperament theory. These classes took me about two years to complete. Then my dissertation focused on the use of temperament theory with clients in actual...

I’ve been a student of CTS for a few years, and even now. If there is one substantial student review that needs to be said, it is whether CTS curricular programs are spiritual and intellectually challenging. That would be an understatement. Colorado Theological Seminary provides a smart and sensible academic structure with good support for a motivated student to advance in theological understanding and application. The mentor guidance and encouragement system works well. Gary (Seminary President) is personally accessible and responsive. The ability to go at one's own pace serves those who are busy with responsibilities of family, ministry, and work. CTS' degrees are well-affiliated and credible though not regionally accredited, so that is certainly something to consider in the choice of where to pursue higher learning. I've found that CTS credits are accepted by other universities and seminaries where I've applied.
