I was a half hour early for my appointment no one said a word all the staff at the desk were courteous and professional. They should be a training other staff in doctor's offices I have been in. Dr Morar goes above and beyond to answer all your questions and I can be a headache. See you in a year!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Krishna Morar at Cohen Eye Institute for many years. I moved to Manhattan and for a brief stint, and went to another eye doctor and had to go right back to Cohen Eye Institute. Dr. Morar is a wonderful, honest doctor and has integrity, along with all the staff. They truly care about your eye health above all else. They are not motivated by money/ glasses sales here like other places I’ve been to.
Updated review: I received LASIK services with Dr. Cohen and I cannot express how truly pleased I am with the results. To speak to how true of a testament Cohen Eye Institute is: I was recently in the ER for extreme discomfort and photo sensitivity in my eyes, and after being transferred from my local hospital to another hospital, I was presumably diagnosed with acute angle closure glaucoma and was told that I would need additional Laser surgery to treat the issue....

Dr. Sagar Dhandia is an amazing person. He takes the time to listen, and to explain his diagnosis thoroughly. He's friendly and approachable. The office is extremely clean, spacious and equipped with the latest eye examination tools etc. Some of the front office folks are a bit unfriendly but don't let it stop you, because the doctors and their assistants are super nice and efficient.

Dr. Krawitz is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and skilled. The cataract surgery he performed appears to have been excellent. I'm currently five days post-op on one eye, and I've experienced no pain and no complications.

I also greatly appreciated that he prescribed eye drops that were covered by my insurance. A previous provider prescribed drops that weren't covered, so this was a tremendous blessing.

The one area I believe could be improved is communication, particularly regarding how messages are relayed and ensuring information is accurate. Implementing a patient portal would greatly enhance communication between the doctor, staff, and patients, making it easier to exchange information clearly and efficiently.

The experience was good, not much of a wait except that their appt scheduling is a bit unprofessional. They use texting or email to remind you of appointments but if you’re an elderly person who isn’t electronically savvy they will just miss their appointment. Also, their system changes your appointment without consulting the you, the patient, has to call back to find out why and get it resolved.

I did quite a bit of research before I made the decision to go to Cohen for a consultation. My expectations were exceeded. Communication was friendly, timely, and professional. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The resources they made available and the thorough pre-surgery analysis of my eyesight gave me confidence and helped me make an informed decision. Upon completion of my consultation and follow up appointments, I decided to trust Cohen with my cataract surgeries. I am glad I did! My eyesight is fully restored, and I could not be happier with the expert and professional care I received!

I’ve been coming to this office for a year now because of an incident that caused multiple corneal abrasions that didn’t heal properly. I see Dr. Morar, he is kind thorough and explains everything. Sometimes getting someone on the phone can take some patience but the wait time is never too long which is the main reason I switched from my previous eye doctor to here. The office is clean and I’ve been happy with my experience at Cohen Eye Institute.
