Basement Builders

I like basement builders because they respond to our concerns immediately and they are friendly. Thank you.

Just had my second basement done with BB. On time, on budget, just like on the first time!

Our experience with warranty tech (Brandon) was good. He did the expected work on time . Our overall experience with douglas homes is great. They fulfilled our requests and did a great job in case of quality of home and all inspections after that.

I am so glad we went with Basement Builders for our basement development, even my father in law is impressed by the build, and that never happens. Everyone was incredibly polite and professional, and the development process happened so quickly. We barely noticed there were people working and they left our basement cleaner than when they started.

Basement Builders are a truly excellent business. They were first to respond to our Project request and — after interviewing/vetting 12 other contractors — they were our preferred vendor. The Project involved complexity and creativity. Ultimately, it was executed seamlessly, on-budget and ahead of schedule. We would not hesitate to pursue any other Projects with them, and certainly recommend to others.

From the very beginning to the final construction walkthrough, the entire experience was truly exceptional. The team at Basement Builders delivered outstanding workmanship, clear communication, and a level of professionalism that made the whole process smooth and stress‑free. Every detail was handled with care, and the final result exceeded my expectations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Basement Builders to anyone looking to transform their space. Thank you again, Kristina, Murray, and Ryan, for your hard work and dedication.

Basement builders were professional, effective efficient, thoughtful, respectful, communication was clear and timelines were met. They pay attention to details, even to the tiniest detail. It was such a stress free experience building with them. I love my space so much and I will proudly recommend Basement builders.

They are professional, work hard to maintain quality, friendly and respect the time line.

From start to finish Basement Builders were great. Professional staff, kept us updated and informed and did a great job! There was one issue, with one of their contractors, which they immediately sorted. There are a few minor touch ups that are already booked in for repair. Would highly recommend.

Great company , stood behind their work and promises in my experience at least. work was great, subcontractors were really good as a rule. like any project there were miscommunications and hiccups but they reasonably sorted things out. I would hire them again but i would make sure all the costs were clarified the next time. They would be number one on my list to hire the next time.

Overall, had a great experience with our basement build. When issues and concerns came up, Basement Builders worked with us to find solutions we were happy with. Our basement is beautiful, and would absolutely use them again in the future and would highly recommend!

It’s been a few years since our basement was completed and we had an issue with one of the pot lights. We reached out to Basement Builder’s enquiring about the product so we could get it fixed, assuming it was our responsibility now, but they sent an electrician over and fixed our issue promptly. We love our basement and the work completed and would recommend Basement Builder’s for your project.

We had a great experience with the entire basement builders team. They were professional from start to finish and we are very happy with the end result. There are certainly cheaper avenues out there, but there was never a moment where we were concerned about the project's progress nor felt like we were required to step in and manage it. They took care of everything. 100% money well spent and would highly recommend to anyone looking to finish their basement.

I without hesitation would recommend Basement Builders and definitely would hire them again. Their team fully developed my basement and did an EXCELLENT job! Besides the impeccable work they do, they also hire the best of the best. I always felt safe In my home and never had to worry about the trades that were coming in and out during parts of the process. As a single mom that was really important to me. Murray was a life saver and a total professional throughout the process and helped me anytime and every time I had questions - which were a lot. Thank you to everyone who helped create a beautiful living space in my home.

Our new basement has completely transformed how we use our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Basement Builders to anyone looking to finish or renovate their basement — they exceeded our expectations in every way! Thanks so much to Murray, Ryan and team.

We have never had a renovation project completed on time and on budget, so were unsure what to do expect. Basement Builders exceeded our expectations by delivering on time and on budget. Communication during the project was excellent so there were no surprises, and every professional who worked on the project was excellent, regardless of whether they were staff or a contractor.

Our new basement is amazing so thanks to the team Basement Builders!

We highly recommend their services.

Great experience overall working with Basement Builders. Project was completed on time with good progress throughout and work was done to a high quality. Communication flow with the entire team was very timely and any issues were addressed quickly. Team did a great job matching the basement finishing to the rest of the house. Would recommend as a basement contractor.

Expedited service from Mathew, Murray and Sean. First class work. A company that still cares about their customers. Do not change

project was completed as promised, completed early, very professionally finished. Any concerns I had were immediately addressed. Being able to view finishs, carpet, tile etc. with a design consultant was excellent

I had a great experience working with Jagdeep, the owner of Bareta Construction, and his amazing team and partners. They built my secondary legal suite in just 2.5 months with steady progress and smooth coordination. All inspections were completed on time without delays, and the final result is excellent, the basement looks amazing, clean, and professionally finished. We received the keys with everything in perfect shape. Highly recommend Bareta Construction for their reliability, quality of work, and professionalism. Thank you, Jagdeep and team!

We had an outstanding experience with Basement Builders in Calgary. From start to finish, our basement development was handled with exceptional professionalism, care, and attention to detail.

A special thank you to Murray, who truly made this entire project a success. Murray did a phenomenal job overseeing our basement development, and the entire process went extremely smoothly because of his leadership, organization, and genuine kindness. He was always approachable, communicative, and clearly took pride in delivering high-quality work. Thanks to Murray, what could have been a stressful renovation turned into a very positive and seamless experience.

The craftsmanship, timelines, and overall coordination exceeded our expectations, and we are extremely happy with the final result. It’s clear that Basement Builders values both quality work and customer...

We had a great experience with Basement Builders. Trevor went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was seamless. If anything came up or we had any questions, he was quick to respond. The basement was finished on time and met our expectations. We would recommend them to anyone looking to develop their basement.

Basement Builders is the BEST contractor I have worked with! They are professional, and provide outstanding service and quality work. They use excellent materials, and have access to talented designers and trades people. My basement renovation was completed as scheduled, has an excellent warranty, and I am thrilled! Thank you Basement Builders for taking the stress out of my large renovation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

There comes a time in the arc of a man’s life when he finally decides to get around to “doing the basement.”

Standing at the crossroads, he wonders if his wife will think less of him, if, instead of tackling it himself over the course of a year (or two), he decides instead to hire professionals.

Turns out, for a while she will think less of him when she sees the budget and some of the inconveniences. But then, when it’s all said and done, completed on time in months and not years, and coordinated under a one-roof warranty with a level of quality and professionalism he could never pull-off, she will actually think more of him for knowing his own shortcomings (which is the true measure of a man).

Working with basement builders is a great experience. It’s a-la-carte and professional.
