We had a great experience with Basement Builders. They were great to coordinate with, and made our basement renovations an easy thing to check off the list. You can tell they've done this many many times, everything ran like a well-oiled machine. We were surprised we had to be out one night & day due to some material they were spraying, but that could have been our fault for not realizing/listening/grasping. They got the project done quickly - on time and on budget. They helped us coordinate financing too. 10/10 would recommend!

We’re very happy that we hired The Basement Makers & Renovators for our basement development. They built a beautiful two-bedroom legal suite in Skyview. Even though our basement was only about 650 sq. ft., the way they planned the layout was amazing — they utilized every inch efficiently to create a spacious living area, washroom, and bedrooms.
The entire team was professional, friendly, and very understanding throughout the process. We’re extremely satisfied with the final result and would highly recommend The Basement Makers & Renovators to anyone looking to develop their basement!

Good experience overall, they delivered on their promises. However, the quality of their contractors was inconsistent. Specifically, I had concerns during the planning stage that the proposed HVAC ducting wouldn't provide enough heat, but was assured it would be sufficient. I ended up needing to add baseboard heaters at extra cost after the first winter to adequately heat the basement.

Be sure to stay deeply involved in the project and don't rely completely on their initial assurances.

To answer the builder response: you're hearing of my heating issues for the first time since 2022, because this is the first time you've asked to write a review and checking if the air balance test results match the reality.
