There comes a time in the arc of a man’s life when he finally decides to get around to “doing the basement.”

Standing at the crossroads, he wonders if his wife will think less of him, if, instead of tackling it himself over the course of a year (or two), he decides instead to hire professionals.

Turns out, for a while she will think less of him when she sees the budget and some of the inconveniences. We recently did our basement with basement builders, the whole project went on very smoothly, they kept us updated at every stage of the project, quality of work is excellent. They are a customer focused company, they care about their customers, after the project was finished, while moving some furniture to the basement the railing on the stairs was damaged and the dry wall got some dings and scratches, it was very noticeable, we reached out to Murray at basement builders, he was very kind and offered to get it fixed at no cost to us, he sent Brad, one of their trades people to take care of this, Brad was amazing, he did a great job, he was very professional and polite, overall super happy with this company and highly recommend them for anyone looking to get their basement done.

I am writing during year two of our warranty with Basement Builders. So far, every time we have had a crack or a door shift, Murray has been on top of it, getting someone in quickly to repair any issues as needed.

Last Sunday, we suddenly had water pooling between out vinyl floor boards in the basement. Normally this would have put me into an absolute panic, but the fact that the vinyl flooring Kristin had helped us track down is waterproof and that it didn't have an underlay meant we were safe from major floor damage. (We have had issues with water leaking into floors in the past and that fear never really leaves you).
