If you are thinking of developing your basement, I highly recommend basement builders. I retained Basement Builders to develop my unfinished basement into a legal suite. The process started by them meeting with me at the house to take measurements to design a layout. The representative essentially designed a floor plan on the spot and sent it later in the day for review. They took care of everything, project management, permitting, and schedules. They even have a design consultant who helped with picking finishings. All in all, I am very happy with the process and the final product my basement suite. This was a very smooth project experience right from the beginning. We were in frequent communication, the project managers followed up with us often to address anything that came up along the way and they were able to ensure we could make changes along the way. We had really positive experiences with all of the different tradesman coming and going from the house, and we became quickly comfortable with them as they were entering our home while we were both home and away as a result of how friendly and approachable they were. My basement renovation was extremely smooth and well organized. As construction can easily go sideways, I was expecting some headaches along the way. However, I was highly impressed how BB was on top of everything. All the trades were courteous and took pride in their work - very easy to work with. And the end product is stunning!
