Arrowmont Stables & Cabins

Arrowmont was amazing! From the wonderful people working there to the beautiful scenery along with the horseback riding, we couldn't have asked for more! You feel tucked away in the middle of nowhere but drive 20 minutes and your in the middle of town. We would highly recommend Arrowmont and suggest you read about their amazing history. From the back story of how it was stumbled across to the current descendants still keeping it going. Love, love, love this place!

My daughter and I came here for her 8th birthday and we had a blast! We went on the Fern trail that lasted about an hour. The staff were all kind and accommodating for her first ever horse back ride. Thank you making it such a memorable experience for her!

This was a break taking experience. you literally climb up, around and down a mountain. It was everything and more that we were looking for. The staff were very welcoming the minute you walked in the door. Our guide was knowledgeable with every horse and their abilities. We did the 2 hour tour which was exhilarating, beautiful, peaceful and leaving you wanting to just ride all day. We Definitely will be recommending Arrowmont to everyone.

We had an amazing stay in the Depot cabin! It was the perfect anniversary! We brought our groceries and cooked our own meals and enjoyed a trail ride that was perfect! The safety part of the ride was great and informative and our guide was phenomenal and patient! The horses were amazing and the whole experience was spectacular! No cell service was a major bonus but we had WiFi in the cabin to communicate with our kids! 10/10 recommend for a getaway away from the busy world!

My family really enjoyed our trail ride. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable and he seemed to love what he does! We will be going back every time we are in the area. Their horses are absolutely beautiful and well behaved, even the one with stubborn personalities! 😆

We loved riding at Arrowmont Stables during our stay in North Carolina. The ride through the woods was breathtaking. We were there during the fall colors and nothing can compare to riding their beautiful horses while looking at the colorful fall foliage. We will make this an annual event and recommend everyone to book a horseback ride with them!!

I took a short weekend vacation to the Franklin, NC area and wanted to spend some time on horseback. Arrowmont did not disappoint. The trail guide was knowledgeable about the history of the property and was entertaining. He also was extra cautious about the safety of our party which included two non-riders, one very experienced rider, and a medium-experience rider (me). The 2-hour combination trail ride had a great mix of scenery, and there was ample tree cover to keep the sun off. The horses appear to be in good health and seem to be well cared for. I would definitely return for a different trail ride if I was in the area again.

A word of caution - you will likely lose cell service when you get close to the property, depending on your carrier. Know which way to drive back out to get where you are going because you may not be able to pull up GPS directions until you get...

The video was dragged out, but the horseback riding guide and trail was AMAZABALLS! Highly recommend checking this place out! CJ was hilarious and very helpful. Had a few snags, but he was very professional about how he handled everything. Would definitely return. And the kittens were ADORABLE! 6 stars just for having those lil guys around. The guy up front was very pleasant, as well. Blessings and thank you!

We all loved it! The beauty of the mountains along the ridge line, the song of the birds, and the rhythmic gait of the walking horses filled us with a calm joy. While the ride lasted about two hours, we feasted on the memories the rest of the day. Daisy, Cupid, and Scout are beautiful horses and our trail guide is good, too. Great value!

Very well trained horses and great day out with the family. My children are novice riders and felt very comfortable on the horses. It was a great experience for the whole family to ride freely in the NC mountains.
