UPDATE: in response to review, customer service reached out and was helpful in addressing our issues and providing a remedy. Updating review accordingly.
Company is very responsive until they make a sale (*note that the actual movers were wonderful*) and then there is a steep drop off in communication - radio silence! I was very disappointed with the communication and lack of professionalism with the ops team during our long distance move to Chicago on 8/6-8/8. I have now tried multiple times, with multiple persons, to have a discussion of what went wrong. I was promised return calls and never heard anything, thus the reason for this review. For the expensive price tag of a pack and move, you can find a company that actually responds to your questions and concerns!
Our issues were as follows: (1) Not at all proactive with communication. The day before delivery, the company reached out to tell us there was a delay with our delivery. We were understanding and were promised an update between 9-10am the next morning, which we never received. At noon, after calling 10-12 times and trying multiple extensions, I finally reached someone who was able to provide an update. (2) In our agreement, 495 Movers promised us 3-4 delivery persons for unloading in Chicago. This is a main reason we chose 495 movers. However, only 2 movers were at the delivery end of our move. The delivery was late (as described above) and had fewer people than promised so it took well into the evening. We reached out to customer service, and to our sales rep Josh (twice before getting a response!), for a resolution - or at the very least an understanding of why this happened. We were very clear with our concerns. Josh promised a response from him or someone else at the company the next day. 4 days later, still haven't heard a peep.
