My experience with 495 Movers for an in-town move was fantastic. I was able to go to their warehouse to pick up packing materials as needed, I was given multiple phone briefings on how the move would work, and the movers were on time and completely professional. I highly recommend using this company1

The movers were fantastic. They were a little late and the company is closed on Saturday so that gave me a brief scare, but they were coming from Maryland to DC. When they got there, they were quick and efficient with both the loading and the unloading. No dings or scratches and they provided their own packing supplies. Pricing was incredibly reasonable. Will book them again next time I move.

Our experience with 495 Movers was exceptional from beginning to end. We had a very last minute move. I filled out the form on the website and Dean called me about 20 minutes after I submitted my information. He was very upfront and transparent about the costs (an hourly rate) and told me I could come the next morning to pick up packing materials (which there are no additional costs — all included!). I went three times that week to pick up more materials (I didn’t quite realize just how much we would need), and the team there was so great and got us everything we needed. Dean got us scheduled with a full team 9 days later for the move, which was such a quick turn around and so appreciated. Autum at the office checked in via phone several throughout the week and during the move to make sure everything was going okay and to make sure we knew exactly what to expect. Then the moving team...

We needed 2 refrigerators, a washer/dryer and several large, heavy pieces moved. The crew arrived right on time, kept clear communication throughout, and were very careful not to damage any of our items or home. They even offered to leave us with moving supplies for our small boxed items. Very kind, and honest. Kept us to our quote & gave us a break on time. Keep cash for tips, you’ll want to give them. We will absolutely use this company if we move again in the future.

This team of young men did an amazing job. I thought my house was packed and they came in and packed more. They were pleasant, professional, and respectful.They were also very cautious and meticulous with my china cabinet. The other furniture was dismantled and wrapped with care. The furniture was all assembled and placed where needed at the new location. Extra insurance not really needed, they handled with care. I will definitely recommend and use them again. This was money well spent. Great job!

We scheduled 495 movers to move my son from Georgetown to Florida. Right away, we where at ease with the communication, the experience and how they set and over achieved expectations. They were on time, wrapped, padded and boxed everything that needed it and were very quick, clean and efficient. My son was able to catch an early afternoon flight home. They arrived 4 days later in Florida and everything was in excellent condition. We were nervous and are grateful we choose 495 movers who were flexible and were very easy to reach during the entire process. We thought Jerry Seinfeld had it right. Retire, move to Florida and buy a Cadillac. We didn’t get the Cadillac but decided to move to Florida.
Next step the move. We looked at the map and were struck by the fact that Florida was straight down 95. Hey, maybe they go down as well as around 95. Well they do and did. We heard their commercial.
That was a year and a half ago and yes they came down to bring is home to Virginia. Our home. We could tell this with a bunch of nice adjectives but believe our story does it better.

We moved from a 1250 square foot home that was filled to the brim with items. Between work, dogs and our child, we didn’t have a chance to pack up many things before our big move day. The movers showed up promptly at 8 am and they worked through our house and backyard belongings like magic! We were packed up and moved into our new house all within 8 hours. They also called to check on us before, during and after the move. We will absolutely be recommending this company to everyone we know.

We’ve used 495 for 2 different moves now and can’t recommend them enough. Everyone from the office staff to the crews are very friendly, helpful, and easy to get in touch with. The teams worked quickly and got everything there without any issues. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of their work. They are also very transparent about their pricing — the “no hidden fees” claim is not a lie.

I needed to move to my new house in a short time span and 495 made it so easy. They quoted me based on a room to room description I gave over the phone and provided free boxes and packing materials to get things done! 3 guys and one truck called
to let me know they were on their way and in the pouring rain, packed up my house and wrapped everything carefully and efficiently. Wrapped, packed, disassembled, loaded, unloaded, and reassembled everything (full truck to capacity) within 6 hours and still, the price was under the original quote. Reminder: this was in heavy rain! Would totally recommend them and the guys were super friendly and careful.

I moved from the suburbs to downtown. 495 Movers could not have been more helpful. They provided me with free packing materials and sent someone out to look at what had to be moved in order to give me an estimate. When the day of the move arrived they finished packing the dishes I didn't feel comfortable packing. They took the utmost care with my furniture and when they delivered it to my new place, they even moved around a couple of times for me so I could look at different configurations for the living room. They were efficient, polite, and cleaned up everything. They even came in under their estimate. I can't say enough about how easy they made my move.
