Wow we should have done this years ago. The peace of mind their report brought us ….priceless! We had multiple foundation companies come over for a quote. The wild differences in opinions on what needs to be done to house and the wild amounts of money they were requesting ($5k- $15k or more) made me seek out an unbiased professional opinion. Now we have a game plan to be on the defense against foundation issues that could possibly happen in future (we are in Texas…you either have problems or need to be actively preventing them!) now we can do projects we’ve been putting off until we knew house was structurally sound. Highly recommend Thomas Engineering Consultants.

This was a first rate experience. Jared arrived promptly on the appointed day. He asked many questions about the history of the house. He took extensive measurements and noted all areas of concern. I received an engineering report that gave me the good news that no foundation repair was deemed needed. This was a great relief and now I can continue with the cosmetic repairs I want to do to keep my home looking well-maintained.

I called Thomas Engineering Consultants for an assessment of the foundation of a home I was considering purchasing. They were able to quickly come out and perform the measurements. Jared was very insightful and helpful during his review at the home. Thomas provided a clear, concise, and informative report regarding his opinion of the foundation and recommendations. I highly recommend this company if you are in a similar situation.

A very talented engineering friend recommended TEC when I wanted an independent consulting engineer to look at some foundation issues at my house. They were very accommodating to my tight schedule, sent out a very courteous and competent person to do the inspection and take measurements. Followed up promptly with a very detailed report with repair and remediation recommendations. I have used them twice and both times got exceptional service.

I had 4 foundation repair companies inspect and measure to produce their offers for repair. The good news is that they all aligned very close to TEC's measurements, but one had errors in their measurements leading to expensive work where it was not needed and all missed a critical pier placement at the entryway that only a very experienced and knowledgeable engineer would know is important.

My husband and I were worried about the state of our foundation on a home we recently purchased, especially after a freeze in early January caused some minor cracking around the house. We decided to call Thomas Engineering to have an inspection of the foundation and water-mitigation. Tommy and another young man came out, reviewed the house and wrote up a report which was returned to us within a few days! No matter how the report turned out, I was glad I decided to go with Thomas Engineering. They don't do any repair work so I feel like the report is an unbiased view of the condition of the foundation. They were also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend spending the $$ to have these guys check out your foundation before spending $$$$$ on unnecessary work!
