“Is this as good as it gets?” was the question I kept asking myself around age 50. I had beaten cancer, was trying to eat right and exercise, yet I still felt stressed, fatigued, and unhealthy—struggling with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a deep sense of unworthiness.

As a caregiver for my adult daughter with autism, I had forgotten the importance of taking care of myself first. Then I attended an informational seminar for Alight Wellness, and everything shifted. Alight truly is a light.

As an introvert, joining a group wasn’t easy, freak flag on the inside, yah know. But I knew I needed to commit to a better path—one of living, not just surviving. I was exhausted by health problems. I was desperate... At the clinic, to my surprise, I was greeted like an old friend. The professionals helped me feel healthy. The welcoming atmosphere, hospitality, and varied activities (joint walks, strength training, meditation, and yoga) help me feel comfortable and relaxed and help me meet new friends. I am so thankful for having found Alight Wellness! I initially came in to address hormone issues related to perimenopause—the brain fog, achy joints, hot flashes, weight gain, and honestly, just not liking myself very much. Through the elimination diet, supplements, and the education I received, I learned what my body truly needs to fuel itself, and many of those symptoms began to fade.

I just completed a 6-month program and it was LIFE-CHANGING! I feel completely transformed from the inside out; healthier, happier, more energy, sharper mental clarity, and several pant sizes smaller too! I went from feeling like aging meant “just accepting” health and hormonal struggles to gaining the tools to thrive. In six months, I lost a healthy amount of weight and inches, improved my blood pressure, energy, gut health, stress, and even hormonal balance. I was struggling with different health issues. The list of medications were increasing as time passed. Traditional medicine was not really helping me solve my health issues as there were no improvements. At some point, while scrolling Instagram, I found Dr. Tanya's holistic program. It talked about well being from the inside out, balance, real recovery.
