The Goddard School - Spring Garden, Philadelphia

We’ve loved every teacher at Goddard so far, and are impressed with relatively low turnover. My daughter had the same head teacher for her first two years. They strike a good balance between kindness and structure, I often joke they’ve done half the work of raising her! As she moves on to Pre‑K this fall, it's already bittersweet about leaving this wonderful community behind. Their spaces are clean, there is a large playground outside that is out of view, teacher-to-child ratio and class size are good.

We cannot imagine a better place to send our child everyday! Our daughter attended Goddard Spring Garden from 7months to 16months (when we moved out of the area). We are first-time parents, and the Goddard experience has made sending our daughter to daycare easier than we could have imagined. The staff and teachers are so kind and welcoming; and it is so obvious how much they care for all the little kiddos who attend. While we'll miss the community at Goddard Spring Garden, we'll always cherish these early-days memories of our daughter and her friends at school.

Our daughter has attended Goddard for 3yrs and it was the BEST decision we've made! She has amazing teachers that helped her develop the social and emotional skills, reading/writing/math and communication skills that she will need for Kindergarten. It's a very welcoming environment with fun classrooms that are packed with creative and fun play. Her teachers are very communicative and there is collaboration which is key. I know she is in safe hands and loves going to school. This was a great start to her educational journey and we are so happy that she is setup so well for Kindergarten this Fall!

We are so happy at Goddard Spring Garden! The teachers and staff are wonderful and show so much love, care, and investment in our son. We are so grateful to have a beyond positive child care situation for our family.

The Goddard school fosters a positive and supportive environment. The care and attention they give to our kid exceeds our expectations! The teachers are engaging and the school has a standardized curriculum that makes the kids learn and grow in confidence. We’re happy with the progress our kid has made at this school! Highly recommend!

Goddard is a great daycare/school for kids! We’ve enjoyed our years at Goddard and our little one is thriving. It’s a great community for parents, lots of diversity - and the teachers, owners and director are dedicated to the kids.

Caring teachers, a safe and clean environment, and fun activities sprinkled throughout the days! My children have been very happy!!

As a new mom, your biggest concern is releasing your child into a new place and new people. How will your child respond and will they adjust to a new environment? My daughter began the Goddard at three months and her teachers are nothing but amazing. They are nurturing, loving and kind to my daughter. It’s something when you’re on the other side of the door and you hear songs being sung and you peek in and stories being read. A gentle hug and good morning makes me so comfortable to leave my child in their hands. Their communication with my husband and I is top tier and they have helped me so much on this journey. We are so grateful for our daughter to have them as teachers as they continue to help her grow and develop.

We absolutely love the Goddard School Spring Garden! It’s so well run, the teachers are amazing, and have created such a warm and welcoming community. The other families are so kind and helpful too. We’ve absolutely loved our first couple of months and feel so grateful to be part of this wonderful school.
