Is a Sherlock Holmes really needed in HVAC? For the most part, unless you or a loved one do HVAC, you are at the mercy of your selected HVAC "professional.” At least some AC companies have proved to be unprofessional by focusing their business on sales over technical accuracy. For the last 2-3 times my regular AC company has come to do my 6 month cleaning/servicing they have had to put 2-3 pounds of Freon in my AC units saying there was a slow leak and tightening a few areas to see if it would "help". Tired of my upstairs being hotter than it should be and the huge maintenance bills because of having to add Freon each time when I saw Bryan on Good Day SA talking about getting to the root of problems and fixing them so your AC unit lasts longer. I decided to call him to come service our units and see if the leak could be found and fixed. I was extremely pleased with his detailed exam of both units and diagnosing the problems each unit had. He had very knowledgeable ideas of how to make our units run more efficiently (one had a wiring issue the other companies never diagnosed) and what air purifying system would be much better than the standard UV...
