Expert Pool Builders (Indiana)

Expert did a great job, the pool is beautiful and really had no issues. Getting an in-ground pool is a huge project, there are bound to be hiccups along the way. We had one issue with permits, putting our installation behind, but once it was resolved the project went pretty smooth. Based on our experience, I would recommend them to anyone.

Note -
It did take a bit to get a call back when initially calling but I would cut them a little slack, I called no less than 5 different pool companies and most told me that due to insanely high demand this year, they couldn’t even come out.

Overall - what I expected and glad we chose them.

They were very friendly up front, but then completely dropped the ball when it came to time lines / communication / follow up / and doing what they said they were going to do.

In the end, we have a beautiful pool but it didn’t come without hiccups. Some of those may have been COVID related but my one piece of feedback is just better communication. It’s a huge investment to put in a pool and helpful to know what’s happening along the way without having to seek it. There were surprises along the way that caused us to spend way more in landscaping than planned. I try to give grace in the weird year and I have recommended Expert to friends. I hope this is just well received to make some future adjustments that may help! Our pool is beautiful and our family loves it!

Poor customer service. Greg is extremely difficult to get in touch with. Our pool is not level. Our pool does not meet the legal pool standards. When you talk to Greg he is very accommodating and promises to fix everything, but doesn't. We asked him to look at our finished pool to discuss the fact that it was not level, he said he would be out, but never showed up. We're stuck with what we have (over $60,000 in costs to Expert Pool), unless we want to remove the pool and start over. I am filing a complaint with the State of Michigan. We never received our custom pool cover that was prepaid. EXPERT Pool will never get a reference from us. It's beyond words our disappointment in Expert Pool Builders.

Greg was great to work with and reasonably priced as well!

When my family and I started looking into the purchase of a pool for our home, we had a ton of questions. Greg took his time, talked to us about all of the different options, pros and cons based on his experience which was appreciated, He could have easily "upsold" at every turn and he instead provided us with honesty based on our needs. I cant say enough about Greg and his team. As a matter of fact, we are building a new house and will use Expert Pool Builders again!
