I didn't even know there was a way to repair a broken temple/part that goes over the ear thingie. However the place where I got the glasses referred me to NW Frame repair. Al I can say is that they are a class act they did a terrific job in a reasonable measure of time, and I will never go anywhere else for this type of work.They can also build you a custom pair of glasses as well for a competitive price so that is an exciting option too.

I have worn the same metal, semi-rimless eyeglasses for a few years, though my lenses are only 1 year old. The frame broke off at the corner junction where the hinge piece meets the rest of the frame. I have expensive lenses due to my prescription, plus my frames are no longer available. Consequently, for me, a repair was the optimal solution. A corporate optical store told me they could not fix it. Thankfully, a local, family-owned optical store referred me to NW Frame Repair. All told, it took about a week (this time includes first class USPS mail to and from NW Frame Repair). My order and their estimate were done via email, and I paid electronically, too. SUPER EASY. The weld feels very sturdy and it is hard to detect - only if you look really hard. I am very satisfied with the result.
