Northwest Frame Repair

Northwest Frame Repair was so great to work with. I have a pair of frames by Vinylize that are made from vintage record albums. When I had my local glasses shop put new lenses in them, the front veneer of the frames cracked. We had to contact the manufacturer in Hungary to ask what we could do. The manufacturer recommended Northwest Frame Repair up in Stanwood, WA specifically. I gave NFR a call and asked for some advice. While speaking with Kelsey, she looked over the photos I texted to her and explained the nature of the repair needed. She went over the process of sending my frames to them, the price range for the repair, and results I could expect. She was honest and very helpful. I sent a valued pair of glasses that was fractured where the arm meets the lens frame. Was told by others that repair couldn't be done, that it would simply keep breaking. Northwest repair has a great system of splints that reinforced the frame where the break had occurred, and they put the frame back together seamlessly. A sent them an old Oliver Peoples frame that I wore during the 90's. It had a lot of grime and worn parts. For about 10% of the cost of a new frame they restored it like new. Additionally, they are very prompt and kind. Read more >

Excellent communication. Repair flawless and glasses(25yesrs old) came back close to new in appearance. There are many inexpensive glasses on the market now. But you have glasses that are made with care and good materials and through age become faded or milky or eventually dry enough to break, the money spent to make them look like new again is worth it.
