Everybody at this practice is phenomenal. Appointments are super easy to make, Tyler at the front is wonderful. I brought my cat for his yearly checkup and vaccinations and the doctor had mentioned a tooth that didn’t look so great. They gave me a treatment plan and costs for pre-op and anesthesia etc. We went home to think about it and of course a month later the tooth had abscessed. We got in quickly for an exam and they confirmed and were able to do the pre op bloodwork and EKG that same day. Did the procedure 2 weeks later and everything went smoothly! I felt safe leaving my buddy with them for the day. Joan, Jim and Dr. Waxman had handled him nicely but stern when need be at the prior visits and everyone is so so sweet I knew he’d be just fine. Dr. Waxman and his team have been amazing with our fur babies, Leo and Goose. We first saw them when we lived in Jersey City and we were thrilled to hear of their Montclair office opening right as we ourselves moved to Essex County.

Everyone on the team - from Tyler at the front desk to the vet techs to Dr. Waxman himself- is exceptionally warm, considerate, and knowledgeable. When our senior dog Leo had to undergo surgery last year, they were extremely patient with all our questions and thorough in his care. This level of attention is brought to every interaction with this team, whether its major surgery or a quick annual check-up.

We’re so grateful to have found such a compassionate and empathetic team at Montclair Veterinary Associates and we know that Leo and Goose are in the best of hands with them!

I just had the most amazing appointment with Montclair Vet Associates! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs at home, and I have considered switching vets for a few years now, because my anxious dog really didn’t do well at our previous vet. I hoped there was someone out there who really understood reactive dogs and how to handle them with the utmost compassion and patience. Well, I found those people! Dr. Cory Waxman and Jim took wonderful care of my nervous Trixie today. Poor lady was due for a comprehensive exam, bloodwork, and vaccines, and I could not believe how well she did during the exam! Dr. Waxman and the entire team at Montclair Veterinary associates were amazing! My cat normally does not do well at all with vet visits but they made her feel so comfortable and they got through the physical exam with ease. They are also very transparent about cost and always provide quotes for any procedures.

I brought my Havapoo puppy (12 weeks) to Montclair Veterinary Associates (MVA). The whole team, from the reception to the veterinarian, was great; they were warm and patient. This was helpful in calming my puppy to receive his shots and make a positive association to going to MVA. Lastly, the veterinarian, Dr. Cory Waxman, was amazing in taking the time to answer my questions. Highly recommend!

All the staff was professional and welcoming . Also each person clearly explained what their role was and what the plan was to help my dog recover from his leg injury . I felt like we were a team dealing with Morgan Winston’s problem. I knew I was at the right place . Dr Cory Waxman gives you peace of mind .
