I waited some time to post a review to be fair. 2 years to be exact! I was so excited to purchase my own home since divorcing, this felt too good to be true. The initial process was great. There were HUGE delays and I fell victim to the lumber surcharge. I say victim after learning that other homeowners with different builders did not. After moving in I had great responses from the warranty dept of things I noticed that needed to be corrected. I don’t remember her name but she was on top of things! Dixie maybe was her name… My complaint is not against them unfortunately I know they work for the company, but the overall construction of my home. I had issues of black condensation spots showing up on my bedroom ceiling. After some time they finally traced the problem to my dryer duck. Steve Rios, the warranty manager for Lillian in the Oak Vista community, was given a very difficult task. The community of Oak Vista was horribly managed by Lillian and he had to satisfy all the tickets for that area (which were many) by coordinating with construction companies (which are shockingly unreliable).

I had a simple plumbing issue with my house and wanted to have it repaired through my warranty with Lillian. I knew this was a difficult task because Lillian, at times, did not seem capable of accomplishing anything. There were a few times I almost gave up and paid my own money for the repair.

This is a warning to any contractor looking to work with Lillian Custom Homes. Long story short, my business did work for them earlier this year and we did not receive payment in full. The owner George does not return my call nor respond to my emails. Be careful if you decide to work for them.

I am really desperate, water is coming in the house, I placed a claim a month and a half ago (as this is the process for this builder) and no body reached out yet. I am really concerned this could turn into a mold issue and respiratory issues for my family as I have a newborn at home. I also tried contacting through phone with no response , please help.

I was contacted by the person in charge of the warranty department but still no solution. Water is coming in to the house through a crack on the wall that was reported and rejected to fix back in 2021!!! This is unbelievable, water is coming in to the house and maybe generating mold, I just hope this is not being cause for the respiratory issues of my kids.

If you are looking for reviews to take a decision on purchasing a home from Lilian, my recommendation is NOT to, if it's the only option, demand better...

Do not work with this company the most unprofessional staff I have ever met.

Starting with inappropriate texts and pictures from Kayla H. She sent to my husband while on the clock and was post to help us find a house.

Then the front staff at the desk I tired to call and speak with management regarding my situation and she must be friends with her bc she hung up in my face.

“Do not sign a contract with Lillian Custom Homes, it’s a scam to absorb as much earnest money on their lots. They take your earnest money, jack up the costs to a point past your max pre-approval. So you no longer qualify, then while under contract try and sell the same lot to others to rake in all the earnest. Force you to use their contract, not a TREC promulgated form. Their contract is not standard, zero protection for consumers. Signed over 60 days ago and zero permits have been pulled. Nothing has been started. I no longer qualify for their new amounts, AND protected with VA Amendatory Clause because this home would never appraise! Still no return of earnest. I need a different home to accommodate the care of my parents. They took the ability to care for my family away from me. Lillian Custom Homes built our dream home. My experience was amazing from the first initial phone call with the online sales consultants,Sarah. She provided detailed information about the building process in community we were interested in building in and was able to set up our appointment with Kelly. Kelly was phenomenal through our building process and kept us updated with weekly pictures through the whole build process. After dealing with some difficulties with our initial lender we decided to Close with AMSW Lending and Town Square Title. They all teamed up and made it a smooth process.
