COLORADO THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

I am now over half way through the Doctor of Christian Counseling (DCC) Program with the Colorado Christian Seminary (CTS). Previously, I completed a master’s in Professional Counseling at Webster in St Louis, and was licensed in Illinois for several years. I am a Board-Certified Professional Christian Counselor with American Association of Christian Counselors. When I went looking for a doctoral program, there were only a few schools that presented as dedicated to Christian thought, with curriculum designed for the adult distance learner, and providing a learning structure available on-line, where students can work at their own pace (within a reasonable timeframe). I received two doctorates through CTS; Biblical Studies and Ministry. As an MD and a Chiropractor, I can address the excellence of the educational materials, as well as the interactive responsiveness of the staff, particularly that of my mentor. I was encouraged to expand one thesis and have had a book published from that recommendation. The curriculum is in depth and so Spirit filled. The love of guiding students is abundantly clear, in the comprehensiveness of the materials taught, and the care given to the student toward each next step. I love CTS because the professors walk with me through every experience I had that I did not understand. CTS challenged my mind on a number of subjects, in particular the Feasts of The Lord. I recommend anyone who wants to enhance their education or learn more about The Gospel, then CTS is the place to go. My experience was awesome, and I would not trade it for anything in the world.

Starting my clinical psychology doctorate degree with CTS was a great decision to get me started in pastoral counseling. I still have about 18 months or so until completion, but the classes I've taken so far have increased my perception of biblical counseling. Not only am I completing the necessary courses, but have purchased additional books based on the course material bibliographies. The coursework is satisfying and I don't see it as burdensome.
