I believe CTS offers a good educational value for the long-distance student. I have personally been blessed by my educational experience, and believe it offers the non-traditional student a great option for biblically based training. A couple of drawbacks, however, are it is non-accredited, and so that will hinder those who truly are after training that will advance them in the market place. Most employers, churches, and grad schools may not value a degree from CTS because of it accreditation status. It can also be challenging at times navigating the administrative side of CTS. I completed the Christian Counseling Certificate program. Loved that the curriculum is bible-based. You will be challenged to spend more time in the Word and develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with Christ. I love that Colorado Theological Seminary (CTS) provides flexible schedules, affordable degrees, and excellent mentor support I received while pursuing my Doctorate in Christian Counseling. Sometimes, I was unsure I could complete my studies due to financial reasons and course load. However, CTS worked with me to ensure I achieved my lifelong dream to obtain my doctoral. The courses have exemplary information to stimulate the mind and for growth. Because of CTS, I have learned a lot to help others spiritually and academically. Enrolling in the Associates of Ministry program, absolutely fueled my passion to educate myself in Theology and Biblical Studies. As a single women who works full-time, I was able to complete my degree at my own pace. After receiving my diploma, I was so extremely intrigued at the curriculum and material taught, that I went on to the accelerated Bachelor's in Ministry program. My deepest desire is to someday begin a non-profit transition home for women. I am so grateful for CTS for giving me the education and confidence to begin to achieve my goals and to glorify God.
