We had to move twice in a period of 6 months and used 495 movers both times for local moves. At every point they were professional, hard working, and careful. Our move was a complex, multi location, multi date move. Phase one was moving many boxes and furniture to storage with drop off to two family members. The crew was amazing! Arrived promptly at 8am, walked the house to make a plan, got to work immediately. Took great care to wrap & protect all furniture and fragile items. Worked nonstop until the truck was ready. The move was from Maryland to Delaware. The crew showed up on time and were very professional.
Once at the destination; before moving anything into the home ,floors and possible contact points were covered to minimize damage and tracking dirt into home. The crew was great!

495 movers was recommended to me, and from the first call with Josh, I knew I was in the right hands. Autumn followed up with me prior to the move along with Josh, who I spoke with several times. Everyone I spoke to was polite, professional and prepared.

When the movers came, they took my moving insanity in stride (I am not the easiest person to move) and worked with me to get everything situated, and they packed what I hadn't completed quickly before moving everything to the truck. I have several dogs and a cat and they treated my animals with respect as well, which was appreciated. ( To clarify, they didn't move my animals, I drove them directly 😊)Nothing broke during the move, and they were polite and friendly the entire time. They even made better time than I did driving to the new residence.

Broke our heavy and expensive porcelain vase during delivery. I had a mounted puzzle glued together and supported by backer board. They transported the pieces without wrapping the whole thing and delivered it with missing pieces. I suggest that you keep your eye on the packers every move as much as you can. Otherwise, you’ll guaranteed to have broken or missing items like I did. Contact their customer support immediately and file a claim. Customer Service is wonderful and makes up for the poor delivery service that’s why I only took 1 star away. Read more >

Our experience with 495 Movers was outstanding from the moment I called for an estimate to when they left our condo after they were done. Every member of the staff was friendly and professional in their interactions with us. They provided us with moving supplies (boxes, packing materials, tape, etc.) and checked with us several times (via emails and phone call) on if we needed anything. On move day, the movers were on time, packed the truck in an efficient manor, unloaded the truck quickly, and put everything where we wanted it. We highly recommend them.
