Referred to Nelltes props from an avid fisherman. I have owned several tournament bass boats, and have a good deal of knowledge rigging these with various props and jackplates. Bought a 2008 model Veranda P22VF tritoon, as my grandchildren are of age to start fishing. I was very disappointed with the performance of this boat. It is rigged with a Yamaha 4-stroke 150, which turns counterclockwise. The left hand prop created some challenges due to limited selection. The boat was very lazy out of the hole, and the engine labored very hard. The PT Prop was a 15-1/2x 15 pitch. The engine would only turn 5100 RPM, at wide open throttle. The engine was also making oil, due to the excessive load on the engine.
Robert at Nettles props reccomended to cut 3/16 off of the blade diameter, and remove the cup on the edge. He also changed the pitch from 15 to 13. I made some other changes,...
