Waterleaf Naturopathic Medicine

I turned to Waterleaf after struggling with severe gastro issues, difficulty sleeping, major stress and anxiety, and extremely low energy. I had given up hope in my primary care and specialist doctors and accepted I would have to feel like this for the rest of my life…. When a friend referred me to Waterleaf I had low expectations but was desperate for relief of some kind. Every single person in the office made me feel seen, validated, and encouraged me that I in fact didn’t have to settle for the way I had been feeling. The program provides a challenging but effective combo of diet modifications, supplements, testing when necessary, along with the emotional and mental health support to heal. I noticed in the first couple of months progress with my stomach issues/discomfort and was diagnosed with a treatable condition for the first time in my life. I noticed more energy, better sleep, lower inflammation, and then…. I got pregnant! Because of this I couldn’t continue my same treatment plan and all of my supplements, but Doctor Myers and Doctor Colwel helped me pivot to prenatal support, along with focusing more on my emotional wellbeing. While my outcome from this program was not what I set out to achieve in it’s entirety, I daresay I attribute my getting pregnant in part to the fact I started eating clean and had eliminated inflammation and lowered my stress at the beginning stages of their program. I now have tools to take with me to make better choices when grocery shopping and eating out, I have an answer to why my stomach has been causing me trouble for so long and plan to resume my treatment plan after our baby arrives, I am more aware of where my anxiety comes from and have tools to handle it when it shows up for me, and I’m still sleeping better overall. I haven’t been sick once in this pregnancy so far (I am 5 months along now) and I also wonder if that’s because of my progress in this program? I am very grateful to the ladies at Waterleaf Naturopathic and would recommend them to anyone who feels like they have been brushed off by other doctors, and don’t want to settle for feeling less than any longer.
